早年經歷

泰倫斯·霍華德在俄亥俄州的克利夫蘭長大，過著一個艱苦的童年，經常受父親虐待、體罰。1971年12月21日，霍華德的父親在克利夫蘭的一家百貨商場看聖誕老人時與另一名男子起了爭執，最終拔刀捅死了他，那時霍華德只有2歲。事後，父親因過失殺人入獄11個月。獲釋後，霍華德的父母離婚，他後來被曾祖母撫養長大 。
