達里奧.馬利安那利(Dario
Marianelli)的這個名字實在是很陌生，其實他剛剛以《格林兄弟》(The
Brothers
Grimm)的配樂讓好萊塢配樂界留下深刻印象，樂評家對他也很捧場，Music
from
the
Movies給了他五顆星的最高榮譽。點綴以浪漫極微主義作品，《傲慢與偏見》的音樂只能用美不勝收來形容。
初聽這張原聲大碟，「如沐春風」是唯一的感想。由法國鋼琴家Jean-Yves
Thibaudet擔任所有的鋼琴演奏，讓原聲中的鋼琴質感一流，加上英國室內管弦樂團的協奏，可看出製片與導演對配樂的重視程度。
達里奧.馬利安那利自己說，導演希望作曲家寫出一段鋼琴獨奏，讓主角在影片中演奏，導演拿貝多芬的早期奏鳴曲讓他參考，希望他仿作出簡.奧斯汀那個年代的人可能聽到的音樂，因此早在電影開拍前，達里奧就參與了作曲的工作，第一首「Dawn」與「Georgiana」就是在開拍前寫就，其中「Dawn」更成為女主角伊麗莎白的主題，在音樂發展中不斷被用到。而「Liz
On
Top
Of
The
World」與「Your
Hands
Are
Cold」則展現了如《鋼琴課》中浪漫激越的旋律，與仿古典奏鳴曲之作形成有力的對比，讓聽眾很容易區分出音樂扮演的角色，更有趣的是，在影片中由主角所演奏的「有源音樂」(如「Dawn」)卻在浪漫旋律中穿進穿出，背景配樂與「有源音樂」水乳交融，聲氣一致，整張原聲帶的可聽性大為提高。《傲慢與偏見》的原聲是難得一見的優秀電影配樂，今年奧斯卡不應漏掉這么優異的作品，偏好古典類型音樂的人都應該聽聽看

Meryton Townhall是一首舞曲，非常歡快，非常蘇格蘭風格。
Georgiana是達西先生的妹妹喬治安娜的主題音樂，有點俏皮。總覺得喬治安娜是個很文靜害羞的女孩，電影中的她卻十分活潑。
Liz on Top of the World音調的節節升高有如思想越飛越高。伊麗莎白屹立在山嶺上，長長的裙擺隨風飛揚，那個畫面實在太深刻了。我覺得這可以作為伊麗莎白的主題音樂，與她獨立自由的個性很相配。
Another Dance 是另一首舞曲，應該是伊麗莎白和達西跳的第一支舞吧。舞蹈和曲調如此和諧，兩人之間卻是唇槍舌戰，往來甚鋒。
Darcy's Letter是專輯中是具沖擊力的曲子。那次求婚是兩人感情的爆發點，達西強烈地向伊麗莎白表露愛意，同時伊麗莎白也將心中的憤怒一吐而快。愛人的斥責使達西以復雜的心情寫完了這封逆轉之信。低沉的提琴很能牽動人心。
Your Hands Are Cold可以說是故事中撥開雲霧見未來的一首曲子。
