阿甘正傳
the movie is about Forrest Gump (Hanks), named after a civil war hero, grows up in Greenbow, Alabama, where his mother (Sally Field) runs a boarding house. Although Forrest is a little "slow" (his IQ is 75, 5 below the state's definition of "normal"), his mental impairment doesn't seem to bother him, his mother, or his best (and only) friend, Jenny Curran (played as an alt by Robin Wright). In fact, the naivete that comes through a limited understanding of the world around him gives Forrest a uniquely positive perspective of life.
Through the miracle of visual effects, Forrest meets his fair share of famous people - George Wallace, Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon, and John Lennon. While mixing the real footage of these notables with new images featuring Hanks is not a seamless process, the result is nevertheless effective.
Ultimately, however, any gripes about Forrest Gump are minor. This is a marvelous motion picture -- a mint julep on a hot summer's afternoon.

The dinosaurs look amazingly real, and we see them plunge into the midst of 360-degree action; a man on a motorcycle even rides between the legs of a running beast. It can be said that the creatures in this film transcend any visible signs of special effects and seem to walk the earth. But the same realism isn't brought to the human characters, who are bound by plot conventions and action formulas, and scripted to do stupid things so that they can be chased and sometimes eaten by the dinosaurs.

L.B.Jefferies, a photographer working at a magazine, broke his left leg six week ago, so he has to stay at his two-room apartment days and days. The reason of this accident is that he stood in the middle of the racing track for taking wonderful photos. Obviously, he is responsible and he loves his job. He has nothing to do but look out the window and watch the daily life of his neighbors in these days.
Lisa, a pretty girl who loves Jefferies very much, wants to marry him, but Jefferies doesn't want to. He thinks Lisa is perfect but not what he wants. She is wealthy, smart, beautiful, fashionable and patrician, while he is only a poor, ordinary man. Besides, he only wants to find someone who could go anywhere and do anything with him, but Lisa wants him leave the magazine and stay there with her. Their wishes are opposite, and they both don't intend to compromise, so it seems very far for them to get married.
As far as I can see, Lisa really loves Jefferies or she won't takes so much time to persuade him, and tries to add some fun in his boring life in those days. She is so successful and charming and there must be many gentlemen pursuing her, but she only loves that poor photographer. In fact, Jefferies also likes her, but he just wants her more ordinary. When I am watching the movie, I really hope Jefferies takes Stella』s advice and then marries with Lisa. Fortunately, it was a happy ending.
Pride and Prejudice《傲慢與偏見》
After watching this movie, the most I like is its ending. At the very beginning, I thought Lizzy and Mr. Darcy were very suitable. We knew that Mr. Darcy fell in love with Lizzy at the second time he saw her, but Lizzy didn't liked him because of his pride. Personally saying, I like Darcy from the beginning to the end even when he only showed his unpleasant personality. Though many inhabitants thought he was overbearing, I still found some advantages of him. Well-ecated, handsome, pride but not showing his wealth, and so forth. He was quite different from Mr. Bingley. Mr. Bingley was agreeable and unreserved, and so being liked by everyone while Darcy's pride was disliked by all. Certainly, Mr. Bingley was easy to get along well with, and Darcy was hard to approach since he didn't like to talk with strangers. But they both were nice men. Mr. Bingley showed his admiration to Jane while Mr. Darcy hid his love to Lizzy in his heart secretly. For me, Darcy's hidden love was more impressive. He did much for Lizzy. Not only changed his personality, but also helped her solve her family's problem. His true love made me moved.

This is the classic horror! Stanley Kubrick's Finest! The scariest of the "Kubrick Stares" has to be Jack Nicholson looking through the door in the classic horror scene. The camera, music, acting, and scares are top notch! I highly recommend this movie to: Horror fans, Kubrick fans, psychological thriller fans, and even Nicholson fans. You will love this movie to death! Four out of four stars. A definative classic! SEE IT!

What can I say about the scariest movie I have ever seen that has not already been said by others more articulate than yours truly? Do not view this film expecting to see a screen version of the Stephen King novel. Rather, this is a Stanley Kubrick film, and to fully appreciate it one should judge it within the context of Kubrick's entire body of work as a serious filmmaker. Thematically, THE SHINING relates most closely to 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, though flourishes of PATHS OF GLORY, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and BARRY LYNDON do manage to figure prominently in the film's overall technique.
In a nutshell (no pun intended), Jack Nicholson and Shelly Duvall co-star with Oregon's Timberline Lodge - enlisted to portray the exterior of the Overlook Hotel - in a story that appears on the surface to be about ghosts and insanity, but deals with issues of child abuse, immortality and ality.
What the film might lack initially in terms of coherence is more than made up for in technique. Garrett Brown (the male voice in those old Molson Golden commercials), inventor of the Steadicam, chases young Danny Lloyd through hotel corridors and an amazing snow maze, providing magic-carpet-ride fluidity to scenes that ten years earlier would have been impossible to accomplish. If the film starts off too slow, remember who the director is. This man likes to take his time, and the results are well worth it: incredible aerial shots of the Overlook Hotel; horrific Diane Arbus-inspired twins staring directly at us; portentous room 237 and its treasure trove of terrible secrets; elevators that gush rivers of blood in slow-motion; Jack Torrance's immortality found via the hotel (akin to David Bowman's journey through the Space Gate); and some of the best use of pre-existing music ever assembled for a motion picture.
It would take a book to examine and defend the film's strong points and drawbacks. If you've never seen it, you owe it to yourself to watch it alone with the lights off, with no interruptions, and make sure that it's raining. This is a cinematic experience that changed my life at the age of 14. Makes a great double feature with Robert Wise's 1963 thriller THE HAUNTING.

However, it』s unbelievable that such a good film didn』t receive any awards at the time though it really shocked the whole movie world. Whatever, I love this film, for everything.
Leon』s main actor named Jean Reno, a famous French actor, and the actress was Natalie Portman. It was a sad story, mixed up with fright, action, and romance, about a 12 years old girl and a mid-aged killer.
Leon was a special killer. During working, he was a heartless man, and ironically, he was really lonely, quiet, and ll in the daily life. Mathild, a poor little girl, was always hit by her family members. The more unfortunate thing was that her families were killed by a vicious organization. Then, Leon saved her, and gave her a warm home. Like all other films, something special happened between them after they lived together.
What I interested in about the movie was the ending song and the details of Leon』s habits. Let me talk about Leon first. He liked sitting in his sofa quietly with all curtain drawn, smoking. No one knew what he was thinking about. He liked milk, not something full of alcohol, like we thought all about a brutal killer. Ever week, he went to the shop to buy two boxes of milk. He liked a pot culture, for it had no root, just like him. He took it with him to every place he went, and clean every leaf of it. The director showed us so many details that we could know Leon』s special personalities clearly. Second, the ending song was so attractive that I kept it in my MP5 until now. Its name was The Shape of My Heart, sung by Sting, an English singer. His exquisite voice gave us a feeling of gloomy. Not only the melody of the song, but the words were vary beautiful and blue, just like the fundamental key of the movie. As a whole, Leon told us that there was array in the world. No matter who the man was, what occupation he took, and how cold he showed, there was a soft and gentle part in the deep of his heart.
In my opinion, everyone should watch it because we can learn something about life. I love it for its meaning, music and plot.

Ghost Protocol-Whatever that means, has laid down the ghosts of MI-II and III. They were good but not this good. Brad Bird's directorial debut shows that he's equally comfortable in a live action movie as he is doing an animated feature. The script chosen is top notch and the audience really was kept guessing as to what happens next. The locales were exotic-Moscow,Du,& Mum.
This is a Tom Cruise vehicle through and through. He shows us why he is the biggest star in the world save perhaps a few. He still does his stunts (or so I am told-at this age)and stunts in an MI movie were aplenty. Humor is also thrown in a liberal doses, which makes it refreshing. Simon Pegg tickles your funny bones, Paula Patton brings in the oomph factor - never seen her before but she's hot. Renner as Brandt has some skeletons in the closet but he's the new member in team Hunt. Wonder why they did away with Ving Rhames - he was good. Micheal Nyquist - Those of you who know who he is (Dragon Tattoo anyone?) is good in his character. Wonder where he got his British accent from (He's Swedish)? Or did they do a voice-over? And Tom Cruise is immaculate. The best action movie of 2011 and I am glad they didn't go the Arab terrorist route. Its well worth the watch.

After "District 9" was over, I had to run from the theater to the hotel and take a long, long shower. "District 9" is a first. We've never seen anything quite like it. A metaphor for a world that's becoming faster and faster a huge melting pot where nothing truly melts. The have and the have not. New ghettos, new forms of life and we have to learn to live with it or, or what? Neill Blomkamp, the 30 year old director, is someone who's exploded into the film scene and I'm sure he'll stay for a long time to come. A commercial director with a refined artistic mind. Accessible without being condescending a real find and who found him? Peter Jackson. A man that I suspect is creating a Hollywood overseas, a Hollywood for the thinking man. I urge you to see "District 9" and get used to those aliens, they stand for something that is already here.
