本片改編自17世紀CharlesPerrault編寫的一部童話小說，影片與雅克·戴米的名作《秋水伊人》風格相似，其優美的攝影、華麗的服飾、引人入勝的配樂以及頗具現代幽默感的情節，賦予了這部帶有童話色彩的歌舞片詩意般的迷人魅力。
【影片評價】
影片不改雅克德米眩目的色彩，動人的王子公主故事，音樂似乎比瑟堡雨傘來的動聽，但影片只算一般。年輕的Catherine Deneuve很合適扮演這樣理想的美女，淡淡的表情看不清是世故還是天真，實在美得讓人心動，其中還有兩位演員，《去年在馬良巴》的女主角Delphine Seyrig扮演仙女，她的出場有種神奇的誘惑力，國王扮演者Jean Marias是讓谷克多的情人。
【幕後花絮】
影片色彩艷麗，賞心悅目，歌曲難度不大，德米編寫的劇本不乏妙趣，跟好萊塢歌舞片流露出不同的風味。

《童話》創作背景：因為光良想要傳達出「每個人的心中都應該有一個童話」的訊息，所以他寫了這首歌曲。

這首歌在製作時，音樂統籌光良與陳建良特別找來了日本歌手森山直太朗的編曲製作人Taichi Nakamura來為這首歌編曲，他親自把光良寄過去的Demo加上了各式樂器進行編曲。
