加拿大蒙特利爾國際電影節(Montreal World Film Festival) ：
1977年由魁北克省文化事務部在蒙特利爾市創辦首屆非比賽性電影節，次年起改為比賽性。該節每年8～9月之間舉行，為期10天左右，主要目的是鼓勵各國影壇人士間的往來，促進各國電影事業的發展，並使蒙特利爾成為國際文化交流的場地。主要活動有：故事片和短片比賽、故事片和短片會外映出、每屆舉辦一個國家影片的專場映出、專業人員的觀摩性映出、該國影片專場映出、美洲影片專場映出、表彰新老電影工作者大會、舉辦回顧展、召開研討會、開辦國際電影市場、廣泛開展宣傳活動。蒙特利爾電影節，地處加拿大法語區，藝術電影的又一集散地，同時也是中國電影重要的海外展示場所。
