1962年9月一個陽光燦爛的日子，美國總統肯尼迪說了上面這番話，宣布全面推動美國登月計劃，14個月之後，肯尼迪遇刺，7年之後，1969年，阿波羅11號登月成功。
同樣是在六十年代，66年，一部名為《星際迷航》的電視劇開始在美國播映，這部「觀念超前」的劇集除了打破種族、性別的歧視之外，某一集中甚至出現了兩位女性親吻的鏡頭。這樣「怪異」而又缺少動作場面的劇集只有短短三季就匆忙收場。
2009年，《星際迷航》系列的第11部電影上映，除了它前面的10部電影，它的家族裡還有7部電視劇，包括後來的trekkies（《星際迷航》死忠）們稱之為「The Original（初代）」的那部1966版《星際迷航》。
是什麼讓一個虛幻的世界存活了43年呢？是冷戰的背景與暗示？是超前的人文觀念和角色關系？是宏偉的歷史設定？是場面和動作？是投資者的大筆美元？
類似的問題也可以在700年前問出：在1299年，馬可波羅寫完他那本著名的游記之後，到1497年葡萄牙人伽馬帶領艦隊到達中國，這198年間，是什麼讓一個虛幻的東方世界成為船長們心中的夢想與黃金之國呢？
「 宇宙，最後的邊疆。這是星艦進取號的航程。它繼續的任務，是去探索未知的新世界，找尋新的生命和新的文明，勇敢地航向前人所未至的領域。」這是每一集《星際迷航》電影和電視劇都會出現的句子，它或多或少的回答了上面的問題：探索新的邊疆，航向前人所未至的領域。這是500年前那些航海家們克服飢餓和風暴的動力，是肯尼迪決心啟動阿波羅計劃的原因，也是《星際迷航》在43年間聚集了眾多trekkies的精神核心。

《星際迷航》從上到下都烙滿了荷爾蒙過剩的印記——好吧，是激盪年代的印記。首先，它的主角艦：進取號（Enterprise 又譯「企業號」）和1960年下水的世界上第一艘核動力航母同名，這個「同名」不是它們都叫「Enterprise」，而是更加誇張——它們都叫「USS Enterprise」，「USS」是什麼意思？現實世界裡，USS是指「美國軍艦 United States Ship」，而在《星際迷航》里，它的意思是「星際聯盟軍艦 United Star Ship」。想想看，一部星際探索主題的電視劇，主角艦卻和海軍軍艦同名，毫無疑問充滿了美國大國沙文主義的暗示，充滿了攻擊性和侵略性，更讓人想起以堅船利炮來掠奪新殖民地的大航海時代。
再說說《星際迷航》的那句著名的「宇宙，最後的邊疆」，這句話耳熟嗎？熟悉肯尼迪的人都知道，肯尼迪作為美國歷史上最年輕的一位總統，施政綱領就是「新邊疆」（New Frontier），他在民主黨全國代表大會上接受總統候選人提名時發表演講說道：「我們站在新邊疆上——一邊是破碎的希望與夢想，是未知的機會和危機中的信仰。另一邊是科學與太空的未知之地，是和平與戰爭的未定之數，是愚昧與偏見的未解之題，是貧窮與暴富的未平之患。」何為「新邊疆」政策？簡而言之就是：減稅、增赤字、爭霸、上月球。豬灣搞古巴沒搞定，打越南「中道崩殂」，「新邊疆」中的政策對後世影響不可謂不大，但真正實現的卻不多，「上月球」是其中一個，而這樣的「新邊疆」烙印，當然也蓋在了《星際迷航》的身上，《星際迷航》劇情的主線就是探索未知的領域，不斷開拓未知的宇宙，不斷冒險，不斷延展 「新邊疆」。
說到了「新邊疆」與《星際迷航》的關系，就更要說說冷戰在這個科幻史詩中投下的影子。我不得不很遺憾地說，在《星際迷航》這第11電影中的那個大反派，Nero，他的種族羅慕倫人在最初的設定中很有可能就代表中國人……了解過《星際迷航》背景設定的人肯定不會對此感到驚訝：既然星際聯盟和瓦肯人（就是那個尖耳朵的民族）是盟友，而羅慕倫人和瓦肯人又是同一個祖先，這種關系當然很容易讓人聯想到台灣、美國、中國三者的關系……當然，說它是北韓、韓國、美國的關系也行。而《星際迷航》里另外一個大反派種族克林貢人，據稱是影射蘇聯人。更有趣的是，星際聯盟和克林貢人進行了長時間的冷戰並且劃分中立區，這毫無疑問是現實在科幻作品中的反映。
冷戰、探索、冒險、戰斗，這些充滿了雄性味道的侵略性概念，從茹毛飲血的人類文明深處飄渺而來，深深融匯於《星際迷航》的血液之中，讓《星際迷航》變成了一部宇宙中的大航海史詩，這才是《星際迷航》的精神本源：睾丸酮和腎上腺素的大量分泌——相信我，我是嚴肅的。沒有人能夠否認雄性精神在人類探索未知領域方面——無論是在遠古時期還是在絲綢之路上，在大航海時代還是在太空梭時代 ——起到的推進器作用，無論它的本質是好鬥還是貪婪，它讓我們走到了現在。
不如就到這里吧，不要去誇獎探索精神在歷史長河中為我們文明之船的遠航提供了怎樣的動力，也不要去慨嘆征服與戰爭的悲劇又帶給了我們怎樣的痛苦和傷痕，更不需要探討那些虛構的幻想的故事是否真的能為我們未來的「第一次接觸」提供參考，簡簡單單，坐進影院，我們只需要知道，進取號開始了新的征程（翻譯：派拉蒙開始了新的撈錢），想放鬆下刺激下，上船吧！

C. 星際穿越影評英語
Interstellar was an absolutely breathtaking experience for me. I thought the writing, the direction, the score and especially the acting were all top notch. The film had the feeling of space films from the past, like 2001: A Space Odyssey, it also had elements of other space adventures, namely Apollo 13 and Planet of the Apes.
The space scenes in particular, have music played to that shows it very much is, and feels like this great expanse of the unknown, an infinite vacuum of an ocean that is full of many beauties and terrors. Hans Zimmer basically added to the already sweeping story of space and time, with an equally overwhelming score that I did not expect to be impacted by it in such a way.
Christopher Nolan takes the audience to where they've never truly gone to before until now, through wormholes and the time distortion that black holes can make to nearby planets. It is a big yet beautifully done self-contained adventure. It is not only a fully fledged space epic, but also a cautionary environmental warning for what will happen if we don't leave the Earth when it is a desolate, st-coated wasteland.
If you want a true space opera that encompasses the wonders of the galaxy, time travel and completely believable characters that need to save humanity, Interstellar is the film for you.

As a complete and utter fan of LOST I ventured down to Sydney on Tuesday for the World Premiere of Star Trek to feast my eyes on JJ Abrams new venture. I have never seen Star Trek. Not one episode, Not one movie. Yet the idea of JJ Abrams attempting to breathe creative life into a franchise drew me to the Sydney Opera House to meet my Idol and to see just what he can do.
As the lights went down in the glorious Concert Hall and the vibrant cast and crew thanked the audience and took their seats an anxious hush swept the hall from united Trekkies and newcomers alike. As Paramount, Spyglass and the Bad Robot flitted across the screen Michael Giacchino's score pulsed through the audience and the film began.
From the first stunning visuals of a pre-Enterprise time to the final iconic sweeping space shots Star Trek is fully and wholly back, completely engaging for Fan and newcomers alike. Easily grabbing a mainstream audience and yet still retaining the in-crown jokes and nuances of the original Universe, Abrams new Trek is quite the achievement.
The actors are superb and the appearance of Leonard Nimoy and Eric Bana takes the tale to the beyond.
It is easy to see why Paramount has held on to the innovative creative Bad Robot team ready for a sequel as Trekkie storytelling is reinvented for today.
As always I was blown away with the power and creative precision that JJ Abrams brought to the screen. As a final note I recommend this film for everyone who has ever looked to dream up the impossible, to take an idea that you love onto the next level, a feat achieved by the truly glorious Abrams and crew.

Pine was born in Los Angeles, California to Robert Pine and Gwynne Gilford; he also has an older sister, Katherine. His father was an actor who appeared in CHIPS as the sergeant Joseph Getraer.
