He is a sorcerer from long ago, and he plans to lead the world to its death.He tricks people who mourn for their dead relatives and friends into resurrecting them, turning them into Akuma that he can then control.The Earl resembles a grotesque caricature of a Victorian gentleman, a rotund figure in cape and top hat, with a perpetual enormous grin and pince-nez spectacles. Despite his intentions, he often displays a cheerful attitude. The Noah Family
The Noah Family (ノアの一族, Noa no ichizoku?) consists of thirteen human descendants of Noah who have inherited his genes.A Noah can be identified by a gray skin tone, yellow/gold eyes, and a horizontal line of seven cross-shaped stigmata referred to as holy marks. They no longer rely on the guns to focus their abilities, instead using bare hands. Skin Bolic (スキン・ボリック, Sukin Borikku) is a Noah of American descent.Three years ago, he "awoke" as a Noah.He represents the "Wrath" of Noah, the most potent of all the Noah's memories. It is mentioned that his Noah's memory controlled him.He is large and has a constant gray skin tone and his holy marks are always visible lining his forehead. After experiencing the Wrath of Noah and the suffering his ancestors felt at the hands of the Innocence, he decided to never forgive the Exorcists or God.He is killed by Kanda on Noah's Ark in Edo.Skin's abilities are lightning based. When using his powers, his skin peels, revealing a spiked, golden layer. This golem-like body has a high defense and strength.He is voiced by Miyake Kenta.

Lulu Bell
Lulu Bell (ルル・ベル, Ruru Beru) is a blonde Noah representing the "Lust" of Noah.She appeared early in the anime adaption and later in the manga series. As a Noah, her hair is black and she often appears as a black cat in the anime for spying purposes and retains various cat-like qualities as a human.Lulu Bell possesses the ability of metamorphosis referred to as the power of "Form" and is not limited to a solid state.She can also take on the appearance of others.After a failed attempt to infiltrate the Order and retrieve the Akuma egg, she has yet to reappear, although she survived the event. He stays at his estate with his frail wife, whom Tyki said he married only to adopt Road. He apparently has an attachment to Road and Tyki and often dotes on them both. Cyril manipulates diplomatic situations, allowing him to declare war. War will lead to the creation of more Akuma.Cyril is similar in appearance to Tyki as he is also tall and has swept-back hair tied in a ponytail.

14th Noah
The 14th (14番目, The 14th?), also referred to as "The Musician" or "The Player", was the extra member of the Noah Family and the younger brother of Mana Walker. He was the only member, other than the First Child Road and The Earl, who was able to control the Ark. Before the story's timeline, he gave this power away to a human and ran, betraying the Earl and the Family. The Earl killed him personally.Mana Walker was with the 14th up until then. Sometime before his death, he told Cross Marian that if Mana was looked after, he would return to him one day.Although the exact time is unknown, it is also said that he implanted his memories in Allen Walker before he died.

Hevlaska (ヘブラスカ, Heburasuka?) is said to be the "Guardian of the Cube" and has been part of the Black Order since its establishment. She is completely enveloped by her Innocence, which seems indefinitely invoked. She is able to "probe" inside an Exorcists body through tentacles to touch an Innocence and determine its synchronization rate, hidden potential.She used this to confirm Cross was no longer the accomadator for his Innocence.Any Innocence recovered from missions are kept within her body, which has 109 holes for each, until an accomadator is found.Hevlaska's prophesies are said to be usually correct.She is voiced by Kaida Yūko.

Miranda Lotto
Miranda Lotto (ミランダ・ロットー, Miranda Rottō?) is a 25-year-old German woman whose clock caused time to rewind in her town after she connected with Innocence inside it. She often feels inferior and useless and has been fired from over one hundred jobs. This contributes to her chronic depression. With the help of Allen and Lenalee, she became determined to be a useful Exorcist. Her anti-Akuma weapon, the Time Record (刻盤, Time Record), is located on her right arm. It allows her to stop or reverse time in an area for a short while, causing any object to revert to its original status. However, any damage the object suffered before and ring the reversed time will affect the object once the technique is stopped and the dead cannot be revived, this is e to the fact her Innocence cannot erase time. She is voiced by Toyoguchi Megumi.

Bookman
Bookman (ブックマン, Bukkuman?) is an old man who records the hidden history of the world. He comes from the Bookman clan and does not have a name, simply introcing himself as "Bookman". He refers to Allen as "The Destroyer of Time" as according to Hevlaska's prophecy and because he believes Allen is the only one who can defeat the Millennium Earl. Bookman also believes a "Bookman" does not put himself in the front line. He allies himself with the Black Order merely to be close to events that must be witnessed and recorded. His anti-Akuma weapon, a set of acupuncture needles, is called Heavenly Compass (天針, Heavenly Compass?). Bookman is also skilled in acupuncture healing techniques. He is voiced by Aono Takeshi.

Arystar Krory The Third
Arystar Krory The Third (アレイスター・クロウリー三世, Areisutā Kurōrī Sansei) is a 28-year-old Romanian man who was mistakenly identified as a vampire by nearby villagers because his Innocence caused him to instinctively attack Akuma. He lived secluded from the world with Eliade, whom he loved. He discovered she was an Akuma. After a vicious battle that resulted with him killing her, he felt terrible. Allen tells him to become an Exorcist as an excuse for her death. He does this, and continuously thinks of Eliade and mourns her death. Krory's anti-Akuma weapon allows him to break down the poison in the Akuma's blood and control his own blood, and the blood of others to an extent. This grants him increased strength, speed, and regeneration abilities. He often uses them in a vampire-like fashion, sucking the blood from the Akuma. In the same fashion, he can extract the Akuma's blood virus from those infected with it. He is immune to the poison to an extent, but if he has no strength, it is hard for Innocence to break down the poison. He is voiced by Iwata Mitsuo.

Jean Valjean was an honest man who, through force of desperate circumstance committed the relatively minor crime of stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family, and paid a price out of all proportion with the severity of his crime.

Captured and sentenced to a term of five years』 imprisonment, Valjean spends nineteen years doing hard labour as a result of four failed escape attempts. He emerges from prison on parole, a hardened and bitter man, having encountered little kindness in the course of these nineteen years, and having adapted to the company he was forced to keep.

Because of his criminal record he encounters problems in finding employment, lodgings, and indeed any place in society. Exhausted and demoralised, he finds comfort and accommodation at the home of the Bishop of Digne who shows Valjean kindness and compassion. However, ring the night Valjean surrenders to his experience and degradation of the previous nineteen years which, combined with a sense of hopelessness and worthlessness he has felt since his release, lead him to behave as he has been condemned to do – he steals the Bishop』s silverware.

He is captured and returned to the Bishop who, contrary to Valjean』s expectations, not only tells the police that he gave Valjean the silverware, but insists that Valjean should take two silver candlesticks as well.

This is the first act of kindness and generosity Valjean has encountered in all those nineteen years. Accustomed to having to fight for his very survival, this act of compassion and understanding (whose existence he has long since abandoned and then forgotten) causes him confusion and bewilderment.

While still dazed by his meeting with the Bishop, Valjean reacts once again in an animal-like fashion, doing what he feels he has to do in order to survive, when he steals a coin from a passing young chimney sweep.

This act, contrasting violently with the kindness he has just been shown, brings home to him just what he has become and how far he has fallen.

With a clarity missing for some nineteen years, he sees he has a choice to make – continue upon the path of petty crime and self destruction upon which he is set, or start afresh and follow the example set by the Bishop. He can view people as a means to an end, as potential victims in his quest for survival, or he can live by compassion and understanding, offering help to others, just as he received help from the Bishop.

He determines to start a new life, adopting a new identity and a new mentality in the process.

While Valjean is clearly the principal character and our tale is largely concerned with his efforts to lead a worthwhile life, his destiny is inextricably linked with a whole gamut of characters whose lives become intertwined. This is equally the story of, among many others, Javert (the policeman who pursues Valjean in order to protect society from someone he regards as a dangerous criminal), Fantine (the tragic factory girl who sacrifices herself for the upkeep of her daughter), Cosette (the daughter of Fantine used and abused by the innkeepers into whose care her mother entrusted her), the Thénardiers (the self-centred innkeepers and petty criminals), Eponine (the daughter of the Thénardiers and victim of unrequited love), Marius (an idealistic student who falls in love with the alt Cosette), and the revolutionary students (who seek to incite rebellion against a heartless and uncaring government).
