劇情：
郭辛麗是個美麗迷人剛剛走紅的女歌星，本來前途光明，但因為太善良單純，相信愛情，深深愛上了風流倜儻的花花公子徐文龍。同為歌手的文龍一直想出人頭地，用甜言蜜語哄得辛麗為了他的事業，甘願退居幕後。文龍則利用辛麗的金錢和關系，在結婚後漸走紅，成為了一名紅歌星，與此同時也逐漸露出了醜陋的嘴臉。

而文龍終於是「惡有惡報」，在一次車禍中重傷，失去了生育能力。傷愈後他偶然得知辛麗當初並沒有打掉孩子，便朝思慕想得到子橋。面對著文龍提出的要求，辛麗一開始斷然拒絕，但後來考慮到自己的經濟狀況和身體狀況，為了能讓孩子有更好的將來，便含淚把子橋交給文龍。
「沒媽的孩子像根草」，在文龍的豪宅中，子橋日思夜想的只有親愛的媽媽。在一個雷雨交加的夜晚，子橋本想回家看母親，走到門前卻怕母親責罵，於是爬上慈母崖乞求上天能讓一家人和好團聚。辛麗聞訊後，急忙和文龍上崖找孩子，辛麗卻不慎滑落山谷……
故事在小橋滿含淚水的倒敘中展開，在《世上只有媽媽好》的感人音樂中結束。一幕幕內心的真情流露，構成了一曲歌頌天下偉大母親的贊歌
