可是，事情遠沒有想得那麼簡單。先是組裝飛機時連連出錯，在缺乏工具的情況下，幾位工人險些被飛機殘骸砸個半死；與此同時，有人看著支離破碎的殘骸喪失了自信，想煽動大家徒步走出沙漠；石油工人和機師間的矛盾也越來越激烈；而當工人們問那位「飛機設計師」原來是設計什麼飛機的，得到的答復卻令他們驚訝：「我是設計模型飛機的。」而最可怕的是，飛機上儲存的水已經越來越少了。而屋漏偏逢連夜雨，正當石油工人們與機師辛苦地組裝飛機的時候，周圍的沙漠上突然站滿了一群手持槍支的強盜，人們不僅要遭遇空難和沙漠之苦，還將面臨著被強盜搶劫殺戮的可怕危機。
