有一天，來了一個叫蓋的人，他告訴瓜哥一家，世界末日將要降臨了，必須離開他們現在的地方。從此瓜哥一家和蓋一起開始了冒險生活。在路上，蓋想出了很多的好點子來幫大家渡過難關，於是家人都開始信任蓋而不信任老爸——瓜哥。瓜哥很不服氣，就想出了很多的歪點子，吸引家人來信任自己，結果卻適得其反。蓋告訴瓜哥，生活是需要用腦子的。瓜哥用蓋的方法來思考問題，解決問題，果然讓家人刮目相看。最後的末日終究到了，蓋告訴他們要追逐光明，瓜哥用力將自己的家人拋向了安全的山對面，而他自己卻留在了孤山中。他們家人獲救了，估計上天被他的善良所感動，讓他躲過了這一次大浩劫，瓜哥在老虎和食人鳥的幫助下與家人們團聚了。陽光總在風雨後，經過了這些挑戰，他們終於在一個充滿生機的小島上過上了幸福而快樂的生活。
看完了精彩電影我被瓜哥爸爸的行為感動了，他遇到了危險首先就想到了自己的孩子們，而不是他自己。我更加明白了不管遇到什麼困難，都要學會動腦子，只有善於動腦筋，堅持不懈，再大的困難也可以解決。
