This movie is about a blue macaw who is the last male of his kind. He travels with his owner Linda to Rio where the last female blue macaw lives. Some of the main characters in the movie are Blu, Jewel, and Rafael. Rafael is a toucan played by George Lopez. One of the best lines in the movie is when Blu is trying to fly and Rafael says, "Alright Blu, you're flying! Sort of. Not really." That is so funny. George Lopez has also played in another movie that I really loved called Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2. He always knows how to get the audience laughing.
My favorite part of the movie is when Blu's owner Linda is waking up in the morning and is trying to turn her alarm off. When she thinks she has it off, all of a sudden she hears more loud noises and it turns out to be Blu!
Every movie has to have a bad guy and this move is no exception. There are poachers that steal lots of different kinds of birds as well as their mean pet cockatoo Nigel who causes a lot of trouble throughout the movie. He also enlists the help of a group of monkeys that turn out to be no help to him at all. Another great part of the movie is when the birds and monkeys fight! It was a great action scene and of course the birds won.
I would recommend this movie for all ages because it's such a good movie. There aren't really any scary parts and I think all ages would like it.

《危情時速》：另一種形式的豐滿
動作片上映，尤其是特尼-斯科特這種擅長拍攝速度感極強的動作片的導演的作品，通常都被扣上「劇情單薄」的帽子。其實，類型片總有類型化後的目的，就實現目的的程度來看，《危情時速》的劇本可算是豐滿至極。誠然，在兩列火車會車、1206火車頭與777車位銜接、列車通過高架彎道這些段落，導演是利用純粹的剪輯技法和拍攝技法來營造最屏氣凝神的緊張感，但是觀眾之所以能夠在特定段落提前進入屏氣凝神的狀態和心境，卻是與劇本上的扎實分不開的。
此片的劇本讓我想起了兩個很經典案例。一個是1957年Sidney Lumet導演，Reginald Rose編劇的《十二怒漢》。記得有一次參加一個編劇的交流會，曾經有人提到了該片。有一位很年輕的女孩兒當時說：「《十二怒漢》的劇情多簡單啊，單線索，三段式。」當時在座的所有人下巴都掉地上了。從格局上來看，《十二怒漢》卻是是很簡陋，96分鍾時間里有95分鍾都是在同一個屋子裡，同樣的12個人的對話。如此看來，本片的劇情用「單薄、單一、枯燥」等詞來形容一點兒都不為過。可是，本片高明之處，就在於每個角色的個性鮮明，並且通過言語和肢體上的交流，眾人的意識和觀點發生了漸進性的變化。以表決為標志，很明確地將這種遞進的層次感表現了出來。有這種標志和遞進感，即便影片是單一的線索，單一的場景，劇情上的張力也依然是層出不窮的。
另一個例子是大家所熟知的《阿凡達》。很多人都驚嘆於《阿凡達》的畫面表現力，而否定影片的故事的精彩。其實說實話，你回想一下，這部戲根本就沒什麼廢戲。影片里的很多看似很隨意的劇情，其實都擔負著引出畫面表現的任務。換言之，大家能夠這么沉浸在影片的畫面表現，不是因為影片用畫面征服你，而是先設計好圓順的故事情節，然後才把觀眾帶入到這種畫面里來享受的。對比《西風烈》，我們就能明白在畫面表現之前做好故事鋪墊是多麼重要。於是，《阿凡達》的劇本在人物上進行了弱化，在懸念上也進行了弱化，為的就是突出故事上的細節。我們可以看到，影片中屢次出現小起伏和小波折，而每次波折過後就會引出一段或華麗多彩或緊張窒息的視覺段子。
用了這么多話介紹了上面兩個例子，就是為了讓大家了解到，劇本的編寫往往是有一定的目的性的。如果枉顧目的性而執意要在劇本上做文章玩花樣，就會讓人頗為不理解。只有針對影片的目的採用合適的劇情模式才是最牛的。在這一點上，克里斯托弗-諾蘭是最被我所推崇的。回到本片來看，就是故事設計對主題的契合達到了相當高的高度。本片英文片名是「Unstoppable 」，給人一種宿命感。類型為動作驚悚片，主要目的是以驚險的動作場面為觀眾提供視聽上的沖擊。
為了實現「Unstoppable」的感覺，我們看到影片並沒有從一開始就把兩大主演，丹澤爾-華盛頓和克里斯-派恩與「溜車」的777號聯系在一起。其實這是稍微有違常規的。影片一共就這么兩個大牌，可是這兩人在前45分鍾里幾乎與主線劇情脫離，不僅與777沒有關系，還在1206上悠哉悠哉。看似浪費，其實是一個很妙的安排。我們看到，在本片中，火車不是像巴斯特-基頓的《將軍號》那樣是一個「大道具」，而是一個難以被征服的「野獸」。在整個拯救過程中，並不只是兩大主演的英勇表現，而是調動了多種營救方式。這些其它的營救方式是由主角外的其他人實施的。在兩大主演發威之前，已經實施四到五種「Stop」計劃，均以失敗告終。這樣反復實為，一來營造了多起緊張刺激的小高潮，二來從一個側面把777這兩列車塑造成了「有血有肉」的終極大Boss，為影片最後的高潮積攢了情緒上的力量。這種安排最讓我感到有新意的，是影片去掉了「英雄」。讓整個事件看上去更加可信，更加真實。在一場「Unstoppable」的災難面前，可絕不是天降英雄就能助黎民百姓擺脫死亡陰影的。這樣一種形勢，在配合上前40分鍾對兩大主演的淡化描寫，就更顯出了任務的艱巨，以及最後勝利後帶給人的欣慰。這演變成了一場眾人合力後，對怪獸的勝利。不過比較令人可惜的是，影片最最後的的解決方式讓人稍微有些脫力。前面去英雄化近80分鍾，等來的卻依舊是克里斯-派恩非常「英雄」的縱身一躍。不給力啊！不給力！
對於驚險的視聽沖擊，影片在劇情上也進行了極為厚實的輔助工作。大家可以回想一下，影片最給力、最驚險、最刺激的三五場動作戲，哪一場不是在之前的劇情里鋪墊了很多次的？影片從一開始出現危機狀況開始，以後方操控的三方勢力的不斷交流中，我們就提前預知了777號一路上可能會遇到的幾個危險階段。之後所有人的努力就是要讓危險不出現。於是乎，影迷心中的糾結便一直化不開了，這提及的危險地段，777是能到還是不能到，如果777真的到了，究竟是過得去還是過不去？在心情平靜的觀影前和觀影後，我們的理性會告訴自己，這些危險一定會來，如果不來還有啥看頭？這些危險地段777也一定能過去，否則結局如何收尾？但是，當你處於心情不平靜的觀影中時，誰還能理性地去想這些問題，當時是跟隨著劇情的引導去期待這些問題將會以一個什麼樣的具體畫面細節來表現。因此說，動作戲劇本最精彩的地方不在於你設計了什麼危險，設計了如何通過危險，而在於你如何引導觀眾去實現等待危險到來的心情。很顯然，《危情時速》在這方面的表現非常出色，甚至比那幾段動作戲的驚險效果還出色。
影片能夠兼顧高潮段落的驚險刺激和高潮前的逐層鋪墊，又能做到小高潮的豐富不間斷，就是是先了劇情上的豐滿。托尼-斯科特就是好萊塢電影人之所以能夠稱霸全球最好的例子，人家不求全，不求高深，不求大師稱號，就是扎扎實實地為影迷的觀影歷程著想，不僅要在大高潮小高潮的段落里用凌厲的剪輯和高成本的爆破沖擊觀眾的視聽感覺，還要在每一個高潮到來前給你做好心理上的鋪墊。這TMD才是好劇本，好導演！

The film briefly references Mayanism, the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, and the 2012 phenomenon in its portrayal of cataclysmic events unfolding in the year 2012. Because of solar flare bombardment the Earth's core begins heating up at an unprecedented rate, eventually causing crustal displacement. This results in an onslaught of Doomsday event scenarios plunging the world into chaos, ranging from California falling into the Pacific Ocean, the eruption of the Yellowstone National Park caldera, massive earthquakes, and Megatsunami impacts along every coast line on the Earth. The film centers around an ensemble cast of characters as they narrowly escape multiple catastrophes in an effort to reach ships in the Himalayas, along with scientists and governments of the world who are attempting to save as many lives as they can before the disasters ensue.
I think,it will be, for its audiences, one of the most satisfactory films of the year and it really can be called the "mother of all disaster movies".

But if the viewer is a Tibetan or someone who is aware of the Tibetan culture and the sensitivities of Tibetan issue, one could feel that the justice and humanity are not occurred in the director』s thought either.
There is a scene long enough to mention that takes place in Tibet. In fact the last human beings die there and the new seed of the future human race starts at the neck of Mount Everest, 「The People』s Republic of China」 the movie calls it. Perhaps what no movie reviewer noticed or saw the importance of mentioning is that the prophetic fictitious story of the movie not only makes a statement that Tibet is completely a part of China, but also it totally misrepresents the core culture of Tibetan people. A Tibetan woman killing animals in Tibet is taboo, it never happened except ring the Cultural Revolution when some women were forced to do so. Women killing chickens in the Chinese market is an everyday event, but a Tibetan woman killing a CHICKEN reflects the director』s cultural ignorance and it makes the movie even more ridiculous.
And in real life ethically speaking, Mr. Emmerich failed to hire Tibetan actors who can speak their own language. All the actors who play Tibetan characters are Chinese very poorly pretending to be Tibetans. Their Tibetan is hundred times worse than Zhang Yi』s memorized English or Leonardo DiCaprio』s Swahili (well I can imagine!).
