I always moved by the beautiful stories and their oral English. So I try to recite the sentences and little by little I have made lots of progress. So I think it is good way to learn English by watching movies.

My Favourite TV Programme Nowadays the 26th Olympic Games are being held in AtLanta. It is the most popular program all over the world and also my favourite progamme. In 1992 I was watching the 25th Olympic Games on TV with my schoolmates in China. We cheered at every success the Chinese athelets had. As the Chinese national flag was rising and the national anthem ringing in my ears I was moved to tears just as the medalists. It is the happiest moment for them and for me. I am proud of being a Chinese. Now that I am in America, things are different. I am so near to the games yet so far away emotionally from those watching around lite. Whenever the Chinese made a mistake, the Americans cheered, which angered me greatly. Each country wants every gold medal. That is understandable. The problem is that they have so much prejudice against our motherland. I admired Wang Yifu's courage and stamina. He lost his gold medal because of his illness. As soon as he regretfully put down his gun, he fell unconscious and was earried away on a stretcher. Mo Huilen also lost her gold medal painfully. The young girl was not satisfied with a silver and braved for the gold at the risk of losing it. She showed the true spirit of sport *** anship. I sing in praise of them even if they lose. In my opinion we should praetice what we preach and stick to the Olympic creed that the most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. several month ago, another clas *** ate of mine lost her cellphone at the crossroad of CaoBao and GuiLin Road. the last second she still used her cellohone to receive a call, but even before the traffic light turned from red to green, she suddenly found that the phone had gone! i was at present. maybe the thief even walked away pretending to be at leisure just under my eyelid! we called 110 at once. the police came but they still could do nothing except putting on records simply. one of the police said to us that it was much more important for us to take good care of our possession than to rely on the policeman to arrest all the rampant thieves! waht he had said was really with reason and unfotten!

"2012" is my favourite movie lately. It is a disaster movie. The story is about a scientist found that the earth is ing to an end in 2012. He reported to the president. The president made a plan with other world leaders. When the disaster e, the whole world is wiped out the earthquake, and everywhere is flooded by tidal waves. Only part of the people are saved because several world leaders decided to make few big modern boats o years ago in order to escape in this disaster. The movie provides plently of visual thrills. It is really exciting.。

Movies showing violent acts make people violent too. The more we see the violence the less we become sensitive. Then the violence doesn't seem wrong and make us to commit it. We have come across several incidents of school boys carrying weapons and committing violent acts. We should realize that the consequences of the acts of killing is something permanenet. In movies, actors can be killed and still appear in other movies, which makes us bewildered in understanding the consequences and relating it to reality.
Movies and Television brings out a negative inflence on health. Watching TV is a passive avctivity. It makes us less active. If we watch too much, we become lazy both physically and mentally. Eventually, we become unhealthy. We stop using our own imagination. We would rather watch a sports event than play it.
