為了正好迎合影片憂郁的風格，導演安排了多場的雨景。因為影片的故事比過去的兩部更陰暗，所以照明也更沉悶，並夾雜著更多的陰影。

卡導演用大量的廣角鏡頭講述故事，影片劇組在蘇格蘭的科峽谷拍攝時巧遇了長達28天的陰雨天氣，與拍攝要求不謀而合，令整個劇組歡快不已。
