大學英語語法--系動詞與實意動詞
在解答詞彙和語法結構題時，可用以下幾種方法：
1. 看準就選的直接選擇法
"詞彙與結構"考試的題型由題句和四個備選答案組成。在四個答案中，只有一個是正確的，其餘三個都是干擾項。考生在答題時，首先應當運用直接選擇法，也就是在做題時找出題句中與備選答案相關的詞，利用語法規則--一般為固定搭配或習慣用法，直接選出答案。一旦看準，就不必再往下看，這樣既能節省時間，又能提高正確率。
例：1994年1月四級第45題:

2. 逐個排除法
在答題時，如果不能從四個備選答案中根據片語的固定搭配或習慣用法直接選出答案的話，就應該從題的句子結構和上下文意思兩方面加以考慮，通過對語義、語法、邏輯的分析，或通過詞彙、語法、辨析來逐個排除，確定三項都有錯誤，以便推論不知意思的項為正確答案。

再如：

nothing but（除……只有），all but（幾乎），everything but不是慣用短語，若填入，意思就成了「除了孤獨外，什麼都感到了」。這樣，在邏輯上就不通了。因此A，C，D均與文意不符，故排除。只有anything but（除……以外任何事；根本不……）符合文意，所以答案是B。
3. 按動詞的適當形式選擇
在英語的各類詞性中，動詞是變化最多、應用最廣的詞類。考生除了熟練掌握謂語動詞的時態、語態，以及非謂語動詞在句中的不同作用之外，在答題時，首先要根據題句中的時間狀語來判斷謂語動詞的時態；其次，按照語法規則（包括習慣搭配）選擇出動詞的適當形式，同時，還應考慮到題句中時態的前後呼應和題句本身的意義。
例：1990年1月四級第57題
The manager promised to keep me________of how outbusiness was going on.
A) to be informed B) oninforming C) informed D)informing
全句意思是：「經理答應讓我不斷了解我們的業務進展情況」。「keep＋名詞＋分詞」表示「讓……(保持)」。由於inform 是及物動詞，me是它的動作對象，所以要用過去分詞informed。答案是選項C) informed。keep on是一個短語動詞，表示「繼續做」，keep和on之間不能插入賓語，所以選項B) on informing不對。我們可以說keep on doing sth.，但不能說keep sb. on doing sth.。如果keep後面用現在分詞，則keep的賓語是分詞動作的主題，這與本題不符，所以D) 選項也不正確。
4. 概率確定法
考生做選擇題時，在備選答案中遇到生詞是難免的，這時候，不能一見到生詞就不知所措，而是應該認真推敲認識的詞，同時利用概率論的知識，比較准確地選擇答案。如果能夠認識四個備選答案中的一個、兩個、或三個，可以做出以上的考慮；如果四個都不認識，這是雖用不上任何接題技巧，但也要利用構詞知識根據上下文猜一個答案，這樣至少會有25%答對的可能性。總之，一定要答題，不能空著。此外，需要強調的是，考生在答題時，對判斷不準的答案，不能太猶豫不決，而應該當機立斷做出選擇。

1.建立興趣。

還有一招：看英文電影！ 我孩子每周末必看一部英語電影——既練聽力，又可了解英語背景知識（如英語國家的人文、地理、風土、文化等等）。這條經驗我強烈建議你考慮。每周一部，最好是中英文字幕的！（我後邊有禮物給你，我給女兒搜集的所有高考資料包括英語電影！）
——「聽」和「看」還可以建立一種英語環境，我們每天生活在母語環境里，只有不斷地給耳朵和大腦以英語的刺激，才能熟悉並慢慢融入到英語中去。長期的熏陶，你對英語的感悟力、理解力和判斷力就會大大增強！遇到英語單詞、英語句子會不假思索地做出反應，而不像從前那樣先要將英語句子轉為漢語才能理解它！
2.清除障礙！
你的障礙除了單詞之外，還有語法、篇章結構分析等（主要是長難句分析的能力！）。所以，除了記單詞之外，盡量利用周末等整塊的時間完整地弄懂一個語法規則，當然也可以平日學學語法知識，到了周末來個系統總結，最好是寫在一個小本上，然後反復看，反復體會，還得學以致用，用自己學到的語法知識，去分析以前被認為是障礙的長難句（長難句最好也用一個本子記下來，碰到一個就抄寫一個），隨著你自身能力的慢慢提高，你會發現先前的長難句，居然被攻克了，那種快樂會使你升華！
其他障礙比如發音是否標准，也很重要，自己慢慢改正！
3.持之以恆
有了興趣，清除了一些障礙，慢慢你就能學進去，在若能夠持之以恆——比如，每天定量記單詞10個，每天摘抄長難句一句（不要嫌少，能堅持一年，就是360個長難句子！），每天多多少少主動觸及一些語法知識，每周定期匯總復習本周的語法，每天能堅持大聲朗讀一篇課文，堅持再堅持，小夥子，你離目標會越來越近的！
4.循序漸進
遵從事物發展的基本規律來學習能取得事半功倍之功效！ 比如語法，先詞法後句法；比如課文，起始時選短文，再往中長篇過度；比如我給你的整個學習計劃，可以根據自己的實際情況，一項一項地實施，等到漸入佳境時，就可以全面抓起了。難免有時候會退縮或放棄，不要緊再來，再來——這本身就是一種修煉過程，等達到一定境界，整體就會提升到一個新的層次——再說明了點，如果中途停止或者中斷了，再來！ 誰都會有放棄的時候，關鍵時放棄後，有人會悲嘆，有人會重新奮起，這就是修煉！ 真需要一個過程，慢慢提升自己。
5.由淺入深！
單詞固然重要，但切忌只學單詞而忽略語法和句式、音調、語調等的學習及訓練。我看到很多學生拿著單詞書不斷地背，其效果並不明顯！記單詞要有一定的語言環境——最好是看短文即通過閱讀記單詞，閱讀還有個好處就是能大大提高你對英語的感悟力和理解力（與堅持經常性的聽力訓練有相同功效）。等熟練掌握了1500個左右的單詞後，重點恐怕要放在閱讀上，堅持長期看短文，比如新概念英語第二冊就特別好，萬勿好高騖遠，讀懂了、理解了比什麼都強，片面強調速度或者難度，只能是事倍功半。還有課本上的閱讀材料就很好，如果感覺難，可以閱讀上學期或更早一點的英語課本！等閱讀了一定的文章後，可以慢慢寫些簡單的英語文章，英語日記也算！或者記英語讀書筆記！這樣，多個層面提高自己，不愁能力提不高，更不愁分數上不去！
6.要有一定的悟性！
英語與漢語在語法、表述方法等方面有很大的不同。如果以漢語的表達習慣去套英語，肯定學不好。比如，英語中一個句子不能沒有動詞（系動詞或行為動詞），如果一個英語句子缺少了動詞肯定是錯誤的；而且一個句子只能有一個動詞（復合句例外）如果非要用兩個動詞，第二個動詞必須用其非謂語動詞形式（如不定時、動名詞等）。舉例： 我喜歡游泳——i like to swim,或,i like swimming. 還有不同語言之間存在詞彙缺失現象，有些漢語詞彙在英語里不存在，所以要想一一對應是不可能的，這點切記，切記。
7. 功夫下在課外
課堂上當然要認真聽課，要跟上老師的節奏。不懂之處馬上記下來，怎麼記——直接記不會的句子最好！下課後及早解決！我前面講過，要不斷清除障礙，如果疑難沒得到及時解決，必然問題成堆，這就是障礙堆積！肯定要影響你的整個學習步調甚至直接影響你對英語的學習興趣及信心。
你不是納悶，為什麼有些同學課堂上並不怎麼聽講，反而英語水平始終名列前茅呢——答案就是他們把功夫下在了課外。課堂上，老師只能照顧大家的平均水平來講課，水平高一些的同學自然會對自己早已熟知的內容，興致不高。如果你按照我的建議，把功夫下在課外，下在平時，學會積累，學會排除（障礙），保證每天都有一點進步，過不了幾個月，你也會達到那種境界的！
8.講究方法和技巧！
比如記單詞就有方法和竅門。可以採用復習回憶法，交叉記憶法等。每天學新單詞前，先合上書，回憶昨天學過的單詞，對於那些實在回憶不起來的單詞，要重點記憶！單詞有pronunciation,spelling,meaning,等層面需要掌握，所以採用口念、手寫、腦記，再結合心憶，肯定會比單一方法有更長久的效果。每天放學、下學，甚至上衛生間的時候，都可刻意去記憶一些難詞、偏詞！盡量主動出擊——不要老是被動記憶，如果找個夥伴，他說英語你說漢語或者反過來，就比你被動地背誦要強得多！如果將單詞所在的句子一塊念出來或講出來，效果會更好！

其實，學英語沒有捷徑的。我這里的捷徑意指在您已經有了一定的英語基礎，只是想早日脫離啞巴英語的窘境的前提下，如何盡快提高自己英語能力尤其是口語表達能力的、一條最行之有效並始終使您興趣盎然的路子。

要想用英語跟人交流，只是學以致用的問題。
我看了2年的英語電影，大概有上千部吧，體會是：
（1）給了我英語環境，我用英語思維的時間和機會大大增加了，感悟力、反應速度等有了質變！
（2）給了我大量的英語國家的人文、地理、思維方式等等所謂背景知識，使我與老外交流時，能避免很多的誤會。
（3）學會了大量的口語表達方式。有很多句式，自己不會說，但人家說出來，自己聽得懂。說明自己並沒有掌握。看多了，慢慢地自己學著說，還積累了不少——厚厚的兩大本！
（4）糾正了大量的發音錯誤。 主要是重音錯誤。
感覺，跟兩年前有了質的飛躍！

我看帶中英字幕英語電影的一些方法
（1）同一部電影要看幾遍。
（2）第一遍，邊看邊跟著演員的台詞大聲說。可以鍛煉口語表達，比如節奏、語調等等。
（3）第二遍，邊看邊記台詞，可以藉助一些速記符號（我原來按照過老版的step by step中的速記訓練，練習過半年的速記）。
（4）第三編，核對我自己寫下的台詞。針對拼寫錯誤，識記錯誤等，找出錯誤根源，並一一糾正，反復記憶出錯的詞語。
這樣，幾遍下來，收獲很大，有些片段甚至可以背誦！
