my personal favorite "101D" medium is Disney's "101 Dalmatians: the Series". It combines many themes of the existing material (Dodie Smith book, 1961 and 1996 movies). But still does its own things, too.
Our main pups include brave Lucky, who gets a strong personality mirroring his character in the book, lovable Rolly, the gourmand of the pups, and sweet little Cadpig, who is the true runt of the litter. Also there is Spot the chicken, who longs to be a dog. I find them all extremely amiable and enjoyable to watch. They are usually foiling Cruella's schemes for their land, or outwitting Lt. Pug (I'll get to him later), or sneaking into Grutely, or...just having fun, making a very likable show.

After finish reading this novel, I learned a lot. Sometimes I think he is not a fool but a genius. His attitude to life is even clever than ordinary people.
Firstly, he is optimistic. He doesn’t do anything wrong but the society is unfair to Forrest. I felt very sad to him. However, Forrest is as optimistic as his mother .he always remembers his mother’s words: “ stupid is someone who did stupid things.” He does not do something stupid.
Secondly, he has strong willed. Because his IQ is lower than others, he has to concentrate on one thing. So he does well on everything he works. Hello, everyone, my topic today is “The ShawShank Redemption”. Prison as a special place for prisoners is part of the society. It’s special because of its depriving the freedom of the prisoners. The prisoners in that situation are more sensitive to freedom than people in other situations. When they lost it, they found that it was so necessary to them that they looked forward to regaining it. By contrast, the people lived in the political society were interested in courting the fame and gain. They lost most of their inherent character. They put their soul into the fence of their own. They gave up the freedom of thinking. They forgot their original dream. The demands of the spirit were materialized to a position or some numbers.
A prisoner spent almost all the life in the prison. When he got the parole, which was applied for many years but without reply, he didn’t feel happy, but sad. He wanted to go to the prison again. He wanted to live in the place he knew. In the prison, he was a key who had knowledge and position. But when he went out of the prison, he found he was only an old man without anything. He couldn’t finish his work quickly because his hands had suffered the arthritis. Unfortunately, he even had no power to struggle. As a result, He chose to suicide because it was the only thing he could do by himself.
Red was a superman in the prison. He could find things that weren’t in the prison at all. But when he went out of the prison, he could do nothing. He lived in the fear and felt so lonely. He loved freedom but he couldn’t realize his value. In this film, Red said, “Hope is a dangerous thing. Drive a man insane. Nothing will take place here. You’d better get used to the idea. These walls here are kinds of funny. At the beginning, you hate them, then you will get used to them. As time passes, you will depend on them. That's institutionalizing.”
In this film, Andy as the symbol of the hope lived in the prison for 20 years. He remained his dream all the time. On one hand, he looked forward to getting freedom. On the other hand, he believed that he was innocent of the murder. The real reason was his profound thought about hope. In his opinion, hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good things ever die. It makes a strong man save himself, and a great man save another one. According to this idea, the life in prison for 20 years did not made Andy give up the hope, but made him comprehend the meaning of the life. In fact, hope is a mood without ambition but it really exists.
The sky, the sea and the beach compose a romantic picture. When Andy and Red, two weather-beaten friends, saw each other again in the island, all hardship of 20 years made Andy tougher and their friendship get harder as the same.

今天观看了影片《当幸福来敲门》，这部影片是以美国经济大萧条为背景，反映当时成千上万失去工作的美国人的艰苦生活。
影片当中的主人公克里斯·加德纳的遭遇也是如此，为了生活他整天奔波于各大医院卖骨密度扫描仪，但是依旧穷困潦倒。后来妻子离开了她，没钱交房租只能在作实习生后，还必须去教堂排队，争取得到教堂救济的住房。甚至带着儿子睡过卫生间。
主人公是乐观的，他一直在不断的努力。为了获得公司经纪人，他几乎一天要干两天的事。同时还要照顾儿子并教育儿子不要灰心，尤其在篮球场的那段话记忆犹新：别让人家跟你说，你成不了大器，即使我也不行。
功夫不负有心人，克里斯·加德纳最终凭借自己的努力，脱颖而出，获得了股票经纪人的工作。当他得知公司录取后他那激动的说不出话的表情和他那满含泪水的双眼。他冲出公司一路狂奔，到了儿子上学的地方，抱住儿子一句话不说，只是紧紧地抱住。
我想此时他是高兴的，但同时也是心酸的。经历了种种终于获得成功。但背后的代价却是妻子的离去和儿子跟着自己所受的苦。

"Oh, captain, my captain!" A new English teacher of a traditional school would like his students to call him like that. He was Mr. Keating, and he was an unusual teacher.
Mr. Keating let his students tear their books in his class, for he thought that this part of the book was rubbish. He even let the students stand on their desk, for he thought that the students will change the angle of facing things. He used "Uncle Whitman" 's verse "I sound my barbaric YAWP over the roofs of the world" to let his student proce his own poem. He told some of his students about the "Dead Poets Society", and these boys rebuilt it. Mr. Keating was so great in boys' hearts. They loved him, and they thought that he changed their lives. But the school master was not very happy because he broke the rules. He was good, or bad?
One of his students, Neil, wanted to get a character—a fairy. But his father wanted to stop him. By Mr. Keating's help he played it, and he did it very well. On that night, his father was very very angry, because he would like his son to be a doctor, not an actor. Neil was so sad, and he took his own life. His father believed that Mr. Keating cause it. The school let Keating resign the job. But all of his students, Todd, Knox, Charlie... stood on the desk to tell the headmaster that Mr. Keating was clean.
The film is over. We don't know the ending. But we know that the teacher loves his students and they love their teacher, too. This is a very touching story. When so many birds are flying the sky, it amazes me with the majesty. When Neil is dead and the boys run into the snowfield, lots of us cry. When the students stand on the desk to show that their teacher is clean, we even want to clap for them! This teacher doesn't only teach the students knowledge; he also tells his students something about life. He is a good teacher. But he is too unusual to let others understand him. seeing
While I don't like Neil's death. It's a sad event. But it's a good film, I think. The frames on the screen are bright and charming. It attracts me. And I was moved by this film.

What made this the hugely successful triumph it was? Was it casting, music, imagination, ingenuity, or luck?
I remember opening day at the theaters. I was old enough to remember every scene, every character, every nuance of this film; having committed it to memory forever, as if I would never again be able to see this beloved, instantly loved masterpiece.
I also remember that the HIT factor of this movie was so unexpected that you had to wait literal MONTHS to get the action figures promised on the cereal boxes. The pieces were still in the manufacturing process and we had to settle for coupons promising our toys in a few months. I wound up seeing this in the theaters a grand total of 36 times; much to my mother's dismay. She loved the movie as I did, but felt I was obsessed. Today, thirty years later, sitting here writing this review, I realize how right she was. I'm still obsessed with this movie, and with the subsequent movies which followed. I wait in great anticipation for Episode 3. I'm a fan, and I don't care what other people say about Episodes 1 & 2. I don't even mind the "prequel" factor, as the situation at the time, dictated to Lucas which movies he would do first.
See, I remember the studios saying to him that he had to choose from the three central climactic books, and trash the rest, or just trash the whole idea. He didn't exactly "sell out," he did what he had to do to get his movie...his vision...out there for us to see and experience. I admired his decision then, and I admire it now. Episodes 1-3 are being filmed now, because Lucas had the clout, the money, and the patience to give us his vision...his complete vision and not just the three center books of a 9-book series. I realize that now, there are dozens of books, but at the time, there were nine. And while most of us were happy with Episodes 4-6 and would not have missed 1-3 and 7-9, I personally am so very glad he has taken it upon himself to give us his full vision. I have enjoyed each and every installment with the same sense of awe and joy as I did this one.
The casting was the first triumph for this cinematic milestone. Ford is a charismatic and magnetic personality and portrayed Han with a professionalism that you'd expect from more seasoned actors. Sir Alec Guiness is an absolute joy as Obi Wan. His casting was precise and excellent in that part. Carrie Fisher portrayed Leia in a way that, up until then, had never been experienced. Most "princess" types before her were whining, whimpering, little snots who were incapable of anything beyond tripping and twisting their ankle in times of peril, while Fisher portrayed her character as a bold, brazen, yet sophisticated and ecated woman who was aware of her surroundings and capable of defending herself and her realm with the utmost authority.
And Mark Hamil. He was perfectly cast as the whining little boy who wanted more, but was afraid to reach for it. He grows up quite well on film in these three installments, and endears himself to the audience so much the more for it. But a cast member who is almost always left out of these reviews is Peter Mayhew. Chewbacca. His character, as a supporting character to Han's, was exemplary. It's not easy portraying a walking carpet, yet holding the attention, admiration, and love of virtual millions. I am VERY happy about his being cast as Chewy in Episode 3. Couldn't happen to a more deserving...or capable...fellow. Bravo! And James Earl Jones's voice being used as the voice of Darth Vader, was pure genius. His commanding voice haunted the dreams of countless thousands of star-struck children for generations to come. I also have to say that this movie would not have had the charm it does had it not been for Anthony Daniels' C3P0. He is a gift and a joy.
The musical score by John Williams featured in this masterpiece was one of the contributing factors. But honestly, this movie's success was such a total surprise to everyone, including Lucas, that nothing could prepare the world for the aftermath of having witnessed this bona fide legend, first hand.
The story itself; replete with sub-plot after sub-plot, rich in dialog and detail, was beyond anyone's greatest expectations. Everyone, including Lucas, expected this movie to fail. It is a timeless classic, which I will not repeat here. There are too many movie reviews giving full details of the plot, and I won't be rendant beyond what I have already said.
However, that being said, there are a few points I would like to make concerning the symbolism of this endeavor. The Force is a metaphor for the psychic abilities with which we are all born. It was also a metaphor for hope and faith, dedication and commitment to the greater state of being. The Empire is said to have been a metaphor for the Germanic Nazi "storm troopers." While the Rebellion is said to have been symbolic of (what would later become) the NATO forces who defeated them.
And then there are the effects. The effects were, in 1977, so awesome; so creative; so ahead of their time, as to ensure this movie's vast success for the next forty years. George Lucas enjoys an almost god-like status among sci-fi/fantasy fans worldwide.
This movie does not rate a rating. Usually, when I say that, it is because the movie is so bad, or disappointing that I don't have the heart to rate it.
