It is one of the greatest novels that I have ever read. The main role called Forrest Gump.Let me introce him shortly. At the beginning of reading this novel, I thought an idiot’s life must be more difficult than others. His life must be full of mocks. My thoughts are proved in the book. Because he is an idiot, all the people look down upon him. Most of boys don’t want to share one seat with him on bus; many bad guys throw stones to hit him; he cannot be allowed to study into primary school at first; Jenny is the only girl that he loves all his life. But she thinks Forrest Gump doesn’t understand what’s love at first ……
After finish reading this novel, I learned a lot. Sometimes I think he is not a fool but a genius. His attitude to life is even clever than ordinary people.
Firstly, he is optimistic. He doesn’t do anything wrong but the society is unfair to Forrest. I felt very sad to him. However, Forrest is as optimistic as his mother .he always remembers his mother’s words: “ stupid is someone who did stupid things.” He does not do something stupid.
Secondly, he has strong willed. Because his IQ is lower than others, he has to concentrate on one thing. So he does well on everything he works. He loves jenny from the first sight at her to her death. At last, he gets married with her and has a son; he runs for 3 years just because he likes running; he loads a gun faster than other soldiers…
Thirdly, he is ideal husband. He is a man with a sense of responsibility. He loves Jenny very much. When others hurt her, he tries his best to protect her. He can earn a lot of money and he is a famous person in America.
So he is clever than others. Maybe a lot of people say he has good lucks. But I think character is bond to person’s fate. His attitude and his efforts to life make him has a happiness results at last.

Sometimes we think god gives everyone different fates. Someone has good looking while someone is born in rich family; someone is good at sports while someone is good at arts. But when a group of would-be-enemies discover a lost human baby, wooly mammoth (Ray Romano), saber-toothed tiger (Dennis Leary), and giant sloth (John Leguizamo) must work along side each other in a journey to return the child to its home.

Visually, Ice Age is perhaps the poorest bit of CGI I have ever seen. Contrasted to the beautiful constructs of Monsters, Inc.; or even the gooey, gloppy creativity of Shrek; Ice Age is nothing but badly rendered polygons and Acme animated characters. No hint of photo-realism here. It’s like comparing a Bugs Bunny Cartoon to The Lion King. Actually, I suspect that is exactly what the folks at Ice Age were going for.

Ice Age is really little more than a collection of silly animal gags and Leguizamo one liners. Some of them are even quite funny. If that is all that we’re going for here, then I suppose I’m all for it. But then there are these strange attempts at gut wrenching sappiness, which fall painfully flat amidst sub-video game animation. Frankly, I’m not even sure the CGI they use here is up to the task of displaying the kinds of emotions these people are trying to illicit from their characters. The humans more closely resemble totem poles than they do living, breathing, creatures. It’s laughable watching their polygon-limited faces trying to emote in response to the story’s attempts at heartfelt, soft touches.

Thankfully, the main characters are animals, which are at least bearably rendered to slapstick fun levels. As a result, what slapstick there is, is highly entertaining. Sure, Ray Romano’s vocal talents aren’t particularly spectacular. But Dennis Leary and the always-odd John Leguizamo cover for his mammoth ineptitude without hesitation.

The story itself is bland, boring, and uninspired, as is the almost laughably bad animation. The film’s only real saving graces are some slapstick side trips into the world of an unlucky squirrel and a group of soon-to-be-extinct melon-hoarding dodos. Ice Age’s comedy is worthy of Bugs, but unless you’re under 5, you’ll be bored with everything else.

This should've gone straight to video. Evan Almighty was not able to manage the expectations of those who came to see it anticipating as riotous a ride as its predecessor Bruce Almighty. It retained the premise of the original as a spin-off but it doesn't work not because Steve Carell is less talented than Jim Carrey but because he had lousy material to work with. Even Morgan Freeman (who reprises his role as God) lost the zing and impressive qualities he had in the first installment.

Evan Almighty apparently targets a family audience with its decidedly more religious overtones (check out what ARK really means), so it shouldn't have attempted to fool the audience by maintaining the Almighty franchise because it doesn't fit; its brand of humor and story simply failed to keep up.
It would've probably done better if it were marketed differently instead of lazily riding on the success of Bruce Almighty when it painfully couldn't deliver the same punches.

This film was absolutely amazing. I have spent hours re-watching various scenes and noticing all the perfection with which they are acted and directed. It's not the violence or action sequences that make this movie so great (although they are well done...), but rather moments like where Mathilda knocks on Leon's door. It would be so easy to just film the door opening, but instead we see light illuminating Natalie Portman's face, symbolizing something angelic. And the moment has so much more meaning.

I know a lot of people who have seen this film because they are action fans. I'm not. But I'm glad I finally found it, because it's a wonderful film in so many other ways.

除了宏大的场面,其实给我最深刻的还是影片中的对各种人物的亲情、爱情、责任的展示，以及人类不分国籍互相关爱、灾难面前相互扶持。影片的每个人物都是人类不同国籍不同层次的典型代表。当然与社会道德相悖的反面人物是不可缺少的，这是每个影视作品及社会都存在的。
1、亲情
刚开始我的注意力完全被杰克逊一家给吸引住了，过于专注于热爱的事业而忽略了妻子及子女的杰克逊在影片开始的时候，开着别人的豪华轿车带着一子一女到曾经和妻子一起去过的黄石公园野游，儿子一副完全爱理不理且表现出很喜欢妈妈的新男朋友的样子，为父亲这恐怕是莫大的讽刺。送子女回前妻家看到情敌戈登医生和妻子出来应邀请他一起到家里吃煎饼，杰克逊面对了另一个尴尬。送双胞胎上飞机，在双胞胎与他对骂时不小心透漏了灾难的降临及政府的计划，杰克逊全速开车回到刚刚离开且正在面临灭顶之灾的前妻家，来营救他的家人当然也接上了前妻的男友。逃难的过程是影片的一大看点，也就在这一过程中，使这一家人一直隐藏的爱涌上来。杰克逊一直都是爱他的前妻及子女的，这个在开始就很明显了，只是因为前妻和儿子不理解他对写书的痴狂，在无奈中他埋藏着自己的感情和自尊；其实前妻和男友（不好意思，忘记他的名字了，暂且叫他医生吧，因为他的职业是名医生）在超市第一次遇到地裂时，医生在言语上冒犯杰克，前妻极力维护他，就已经表现出了她仍然爱着杰克逊，后来他们偷偷进入方舟一路上相互扶持，尤其是只剩几分钟海啸就到来而方舟的门却关不上杰克逊返回去检修时，儿子对父亲的爱完全爆发了，趁大家不注意，诺亚尾随父亲，两人齐心协力在最后几秒的时候解除了故障，大门及时合上，方舟发动了引擎，整个船上的人脱离了危险；诺亚回到了母亲身边，妈妈问他爸爸呢，他说就在我后面，可是他们却没看到杰克逊，母子俩抱在一起为失去亲人哭泣，指挥中心的人都陷入了哀默中，就在此刻杰克逊出现了，当他浮出水面与前妻儿子相拥的画面通过监控显示出现在大家面前时，所有的人都欢呼起来；（当时自己也松了一口气，不喜欢看灾难片的原因之一就在于导演或者作者总是喜欢把相爱的情侣或者温暖的家庭生生拆散，让人看得撕心裂肺的痛，还好此片没有让人如此绝望。）最后灾难结束，地球恢复平静，一家四口出现在大屏幕上，女儿问：“我们什么时候回家？”父亲说：“我们就在这儿建立一个新家好吗？只要我们在一起到哪儿都是家。”我想说的是，在我们还来得及的时候，请好好珍惜身边的或者远方的家人吧，不要等到你的一个转身变成了一世的诀别。如果儿子觉得父亲不够爱你，其实你错了，因为作为一家之长，他必须养家糊口以及担负着这样或那样的责任，他想把最好的东西放到你面前，而你的冷漠刺伤了他；如果父亲觉得儿子不够敬爱你，其实你也错了，他只是感觉不到你的爱与重视，所以想用冷漠和叛逆来引起你的注意。
当方舟的大门要关上时，尤里用他所有的力气和希望将儿子推上了方舟而自己却葬身于海啸，我才开始注意这个自始至终的反面人物，哪怕再冷酷无情的人也是有爱的。他漠视小人物时的残忍，以及在危难时刻毫不犹豫的丢掉信任他的拳击手和女友的无情，然而在这一刻他变成了一个伟大的父亲，为儿子争取活着的权利，将希望全部寄托到了生命尾声的那跳跃着向上的一举。
劳拉的父亲，那个美国总统在最后关头选择了和国民一起面对这场灾难，然而再伟大的人物也只是一个普通的父亲，就在劳拉登上方舟以为父亲在指挥中心忙碌时，打来了那个诀别的电话：“劳拉，如果让你在等船之前知道，我想你是绝不会登船的。”
影片的另一个主人公，博士再登船之前也给父亲打了最后一通电话，父亲很安详的等待着灾难的降临，并告诉博士：“我跟你妈妈的这一生过得都很精彩，我们最成功的是有这样一个优秀的儿子。”博士父亲的搭档哈里也给一直冷战的儿子打了多年来的第一通电话，然而却没来得及跟儿子说上一句话，但是导演留了一个让观众想象的空间，因为哈里的小孙女说是爷爷打来的，这是不是意味着儿子已经知道了父亲原谅了他去了一个日本妻子？毕竟父子之间还是有一些默契的。
影片里另一反面人物，我忘记他叫什么名字了，在总统放弃生机后成为美国的总指挥的那个人，他像往常一样给母亲打了一个电话，还跟母亲说下个星期的这个时候再打，手中拿着两张票，然而89岁高龄脑子已经不清楚且腿脚不便的母亲显然不能登船的，手中那张多余的票已经没有可送之人，我想这是影片中最悲哀的人吧。

2、爱情
在每部影片中，爱情都是不老的传奇，它的伟大与震撼在于没有血缘关系的两人之间因为存在爱情可以为对方付出生命。劳拉与博士在逃难以及拯救人类的过程中发现了共同的价值观，在人们脱离危险后，爱情就这样顺理成章的产生了。
尤里和他漂亮的女朋友，救援人员请他们出示登船卡时，他们之间相互利用的关系爆漏，尤里早就知道女友和飞行员之间的关系，因此他毫不犹豫的丢弃了女友，而他的女朋友也在后来向杰克逊承认了她其实爱的的确是飞行员，她真应该早点儿做出选择。然而她一直选择呆在尤里身边，也不过是看上了人家能够拿安225作私人飞机的财富。贪婪的人总是没有什么好下场的，他们最后都没有逃离那场灾难，尽管在危难时刻他们都表现出了人性善良的一面。
杰克逊的前妻和戈登医生，不说杰克逊，是因为他和前妻虽然离婚了，但他们彼此相爱，还共有一对儿女，已经成了深入骨髓的一家人。不可否认戈登医生是爱杰克逊的前妻的，而这个女人显然也是被对方吸引的，曾一度认为是爱他的，只是在最后关头她才明白谁才是自己等的人，导演给戈登的结局看似残忍，其实在爱情上这是最好的归宿，艺术是高于生活的，也许在现实世界里什么都不如活着更有意义，而在艺术里的爱情总会以一种悲剧来成全另一场喜剧，杰克逊一家在一起了，他们都不会忘记戈登，尤其是被他爱的那个女人，他永远活在她的心里。我想说的并不是得不到爱情的人都应该以死亡这种悲壮的方式活在对方生命中，而是想说如果不能够和我们爱的人在一起，请把最美好的自己留给他/她，然后退出他/她的生活，成全他/她的幸福，那么我们就会永远以最好的形象出现在那个人的回忆中。

3、友情
友情在这部影片里表现得并不是很多，毕竟在钢筋水泥的现代社会，很少再有人关注一些与我们毫无血缘关系的人了，何况是人类面临灭顶之灾的时候？我能想到的只有博士的朋友在死亡到来之前的那通电话。但那个镜头是一家三口相拥着等待死神的降临，毫无畏惧，也许亲情真的更为伟大吧。
4、责任和人性
虽然没有过多的描写友情，但是影片中人与人之间，完全的陌生人或者仅仅是认识的人，在关键时刻都没有只顾自己逃命而放弃别人的生命，是责任还是人性的伟大，我无法区分。飞行员用自己生命的最后一刻驾驶那架安225，只是为了让其他人安全降落，甚至尤里根本就不领情，更不会因此更感激他，他应该是知道的，然而还是选择了牺牲。
尤里的女朋友在闸门合上前一霎那，把杰克逊的女儿丽莉推了上去，而自己却失去了逃生的机会；
那个中国藏族老太太说：“我们都是地球的儿女！”这句话道出了人性的良知，也是对整个影片中那一个个对生命的尊重的行为的诠释，她代表了最平凡的生活在社会底层的人民。
博士则代表了社会上层人物，不管是底层也好，上层也罢，他们都是人类道德规范的象征。

Even wanted to travel to the center of the earth? I am sure not many would have even thought of this. If it is travelling to a different country especially a popular tourist destination then I am sure all people will be willing. Even if it is a popular shopping destination for example like the Du Shopping Festival or the Malaysia Mega Sale I am sure you will find many takers. Even space travel will fascinate most of us and you will find lots of takers on making a trip to outer space. However, going to the center of the earth, no way would be most people’s first thought. Well you can make this journey quite safely with the new movie “Journey To The Center Of The Earth” with Brendan Fraser for company. What’s exciting about this movie is that it’s in 3D and while it is based on Jules Verne popular book there are deviations in it with creatures like dinosaurs, piranhas, man eating plants (yeah like Peter Jackson’s King Kong) and most will leap out at you this being a 3D movie. The storyline/plot is weak, but the 3D special effects will certainly get the ball rolling. Being in India I will have to wait a while before being able to catch the movie, but if you can then do watch it and let me know how it turns out. I remember as a kid my mom telling me that people g the earth to get to its center, but then stopped and gave up when they heard screams emanating from below and they were convinced they had stumbled upon hell and the screams were of the tormented inhabitants of hell. Later on I learnt that the Russians had indeed started to dig ring the cold war to get to the center of the earth and even here there were rumors about screams being heard and the Russians giving up on the dig because they too believed they had stumbled onto hell, but the truth it turns out was that the rocks were so hot they kept melting and fusing the holes so the dig could not progress and the Russians had to call it a day. The latest news is that the Japanese are planning to dig to the center of the earth and they are planning to do it at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean since the area there is only about 6 miles thick. Let’s see what comes of their dig. Till then we have to rely on Brendan Fraser taking us on a Journey To The Center Of The Earth.
