布拉德科恩是妥瑞氏症患者，会不自觉的肢体抽搐和发出怪声，一直被人们另眼看待，同学们也欺负他。直到一位叫做梅尔的校长在学校音乐会上向全校说明一切，布拉德才开始真正被大家理解，接受，而梅尔校长也改变了小布拉德。他立志成为一名教师。在逐渐的不懈努力下，布拉德终于成为一位受到周围人尊敬，热爱，支持的科恩老师。
看完电影后，学到了四点：
1.科恩老师身上所体现的乐观积极、信心、不放弃精神与认真、负责的态度。即使妥瑞氏症带来了一系列的麻烦，还有人们异样的目光，甚至是一种歧视，科恩老师仍然保持着乐观积极的态度。对于父亲的不认同，布拉德有过苦恼，但是还是充满信心，坚信自己会成为一名教师，完成自己的梦想。为了找到一个愿意接受自己的学校，布拉德甚至在全国的地图上圈出未去过的学校，然后带着地图，驾车前往。在被25所学校拒绝后，布拉德带着希望来的景山小学，其实在等待答复的过程中他也有些怀疑自己是不是再次失败，听到电话声就很敏感，最后终于顺利被聘用。带着二年级的科恩老师开始了教师生涯，和学生的互动透露出的是坦诚，认真。为给同学们更好地上地理课。科恩老师特地请来了卡车司机麦辛。亚曼达无奈被父亲掉到别的班级后，在门口窥看他的地理课；海瑟去世时，她的母亲坚持要他进入教堂，参加告别仪式。科恩老师的负责为他赢得了最佳新进教师奖，更重要的是大家的尊敬，热爱与支持。
2.疾病和一切的困难是无法阻挡又信念的人走向成功。妥瑞氏症，别人眼中的麻烦，却是布拉德眼中的朋友，老师。小时候母亲想办法治疗布拉德的妥瑞氏症，他们一起找到一个妥瑞氏症患者的聚集地，病友中大人没工作，小孩家里蹲，甚至没有人敢于露面。原以为会有治疗效果的母亲发现这儿的消极气氛时如此不利于孩子时，向布拉德道歉，并带他快速离开，小布拉德说，他和这儿的人们不同，他不会被疾病打败，会是成功。相比之下，父亲一直不相信儿子能够融入社会，成为教师，执着的布拉德坚守信念，不在乎他人的看法，克服一切，用成绩说明了一切，完成状况的梦想。
3.社会的包容力与社会舆论对个人的影响。小时候的布拉德被同龄的孩子嘲笑，欺负，称呼他为怪胎，不懂事的汤玛士也这样叫过，一直以来，人们对于布拉德的态度不外乎是这样。小学的女教师，一群不友好的同学，认为布拉德是残疾人的可恶校长，甚至包括自己的父亲也存在偏见；当然生活不一定是那么糟糕，母亲与弟弟杰夫的支持，善良的梅尔校长，合住在一起的罗恩，继母黛安娜的努力沟通，高尔夫球友，学校同事的认可，学生的喜爱，正如科恩老师在感言中所说，今天我能站在这里，是因为你们对我的爱与支持。可以看到社会舆论对一个人的影响是多么大，或许我们也应学会包容，诚然布拉德有时会打扰到旁人，但是他不是故意为之，他应该得到社公正的对待。社会上需要一种理解与包容力。

疾病的困扰，内心的折磨，人们的不理解，布拉德战胜了这一切，走向成功。很喜欢吉米沃克的出色表演，把一个布拉德科恩的角色演的如此逼真形象。印象最深的是他的笑容，自信的像温暖阳光一般可以融化一切坚冰。而他在被伤害后的哭泣，带有一种自责的哭泣也深深打动我。当然，在现实生活中的布拉德科恩更值得我们钦佩，他所付出的努力和取得的成就激励着我。
或许以后的日子里，我也会带着自信的笑容，像布拉德科恩一样，努力追求逐渐的梦想，无论遇到怎样的挑战，无论会有多大的麻烦。

This is the true story of a young man, Brad Cohen, with Tourette syndrome who wants to become a teacher and get his master's degree. It's a very simple story made magical and engaging by the strength of its leading player, James Wolk. I hope to see more of him in other work soon. His ability to capture the helplessness of Tourette's while burning through it with his heart and charm is remarkable.
The story divides its time between Brad's struggles in everyday life with his disorder, attempting to get the teaching position, his relationships with his family, students, and new girlfriend. The script is a bit Hallmark-heavy-handed at times, but it comes with the brand. This is a greeting card company, after all.
The supporting cast is wonderful. Sarah Drew is every boy's crush as Brad's new girlfriend. Treat Williams is powerful and sympathetic as Brad's father. I highly recommend this film for great family viewing full of life lessons and love.
