首先一点，想要搞清楚寂静岭世界就得明白它的“三元”世界观。。。也就是说，寂静岭在某些神秘力量（后面再说）的促使下，已经有了3个平行的世界。分别是：正常世界（就是你天天呆着的世界，影片中那个所谓“黄澄澄”的、都是正常人的世界）、表世界（那个大雾弥漫、都是废墟的世界）、里世界（那个黑乎乎的、都是铁丝和血迹、有很多凶猛怪物、电影中警报响后的世界）。这个“三元”世界观组成的寂静岭概念是这个游戏的基础，但在游戏中表现得比较晦涩、难懂，但在多年的SH游戏玩家的交流和官方的认证下，以初步定性~
记得好莱屋的影评看后都说这片子相当的晦涩、世界观相当的新颖~其实这只是把游戏中的概念照版过来而已，而且电影中大量的三个世界的穿插、交织，和那个男的在真实世界里已经能够感受到他妻子的存在（其实这是不可能的，懂平行世界的都知道，平行世界间只是时间轴相同，并不会有交点的），我个人觉得这已经亵渎了寂静岭的晦涩风格，但为了照顾大部分连黑客帝国这种“二元”世界观都不懂的影迷，这还是可以接受的。
应大部分小白白们不懂结尾是什么意思，想先了解结尾的意思，我就先解释结尾吧。
首先露丝带着她的女儿（其实这里也有很多蹊跷的东西，后面讲）飞出悬崖，走上回家的路，有没有发现这里有很多细节是在暗示你，这里依然是表世界：路上依然都是大雾，来时的那个热闹的加油站凄凉无人，另一面丈夫的世界却还“黄澄澄”的、还下着雨。。。你可能会问了，寂静岭表世界不也有人吗？那些人其实是被神秘力量（也就是艾丽丝与她的黑暗搭档“签约”后所得到的力量）拉进表世界的。同理：艾丽丝感受到露丝的到来（与她的女儿一起），所以防出能量把她们拉了进来，因为这种能量是区域性的，所以那个女警也被拉了进来。。。。也就是说表世界来回就这么几个人（后面还被艾丽丝赶尽杀绝了=。=）而已。。。。。。转回话题：她们回到了家里，其实那也只是空无一人的表世界之家罢了。为什么会有这种结局呢？其实这都是艾丽丝的意愿罢了。。。。。前面说过，露丝在孤儿院收养的女儿莎仁其实是艾丽丝的善良一面的诞生体，而结尾时露丝让女儿闭上眼睛，但她还是睁开了，也就这一刻，她与黑暗体对视力的这一刻，善良体（莎仁）与黑暗体结合了，重新成为了艾丽丝。。。这也是为什么后面黑暗体和艾丽丝都未出现的原因了。。。。而艾丽丝觉得她的母亲达琳当年并没有完全尽了母亲的职责、自己也没有得到过真正的母爱，而相较之下，露丝的强大的母爱更让艾丽丝欣赏，所以后来莎仁的表情和行为都有些怪，这才是真正的艾丽丝。。。。她为了独享母爱就把表世界延伸了出去，直到家中~这一切就是结局形成的原因。。。。。。。。。但仍然有比较激进的人懒得听这些所谓的“胡扯”，只问一句话：到底死没死呀？？？要问这个问题的话，只能说明你层次太低了，但你非要得到个答案的话，我只能说：即没有死，也不能说是活着的。。。。（1）要说她死了，在真实世界却没有她的尸体，而她也确实在表世界活着的。（2）要说她活着，她也永远回不到真实世界（除非艾丽丝愿意这样做）。（3）她在教堂里被那个可恶的女教主一刀桶穿了左锁骨处（离心脏比较近，看她的出血情况应该是桶到了大动脉），而因为艾丽丝的力量又活了过来，从这一点说，她的命其实已经是艾丽丝的了~
【1号补充】厕所里的怪物
有人不明白女主角在学校厕所里面看到的那个所谓的"献祭者"是什么意思...其实,他就是那个在后面艾丽丝回忆中被众多学生追赶到厕所后,厕所中那个把她弓虽女干了的清洁工(=.=在门口有N多学生的情况下)...所以艾丽丝对他的怨恨由为突出,在她拥有了力量(黑暗搭档)之后,第一个就把他给残忍地杀掉了,就在那个回忆中的那个厕所里.....而在表世界中他尸体所摆的姿势也比较像在XX..里世界里,他行进(爬行..)中在不停的"吐舌头",这一点更好理解,因为这是标准的"性暗示"动作(在学术中和各种H中都得到公认的)~至于实在这方面不懂的,只能说明你太纯洁了,就不支持你进行深挖了..
还有的人问:女主角怎么知道他嘴里面有那块刻着"酒店"(本人不怎么会英文,就直接翻译了哦~)的石头呢?本人觉得:(1)那个蓝衣服的小孩(其实是艾丽丝所释放的幻影,用来给女主角提供线索的,所以忽隐忽现的,是艾丽丝小时侯的形象)把她指引到这来,肯定有原因,所以女主角要查看一下(2)可能是后面的话有什么暗示(再次重声:英语不太好..) (3)游戏中的人物也都喜欢没事乱翻的,说不定有什么好东东等我呢~不过要去翻死人嘴里嘛,那就......=.=

对,这确实是露丝的选择,她在教堂里曾经对那个女警说:"当我第一眼看到莎仁(善良体)的时候,我就喜欢上了她."...露丝选择了莎仁,也就等同于选择了自己的命运,因为莎认总会有这么一天要回到SILENT HILL,这是无法阻止和更改的~是露丝自己选择的命运.....

再次重声:寂静岭是一个很有人文内涵的有血有肉的地方,并非一般欧美的暴力美学....它的每一个设置.每一个细节.都不是凭空而出(大部分其他的血腥恐怖片都是这样),而是有其道理的.....在此引用一位哲学家的话:"凡是存在的都是有道理的."----黑格尔
三角头:寂静岭游戏中被公认的最具代表性怪物.肌肉身材,手拿大刀,三角铁头(有枪也没法打暴头了..)~这个形象就已经代表了艾丽丝心中最阴暗\冷酷\暴力和极度的怨恨的一面.....而它那最富个性的三角头却不能被众人所理解,所以我来简单解释一下:(1)学过心理学的人应该知道,三角形代表着暴力(或暴力倾向),而又把三角形作为它的头就说明了这个怪物的头脑中是充满了暴力\别无他物...(2)三角头又代表了神秘(如金字塔等),在游戏中也确实这样.每次它的出现就会暗示些东西或者代表着某段剧情的高潮的到来....所以它的出现总是背负着很多"重大"任务的~
护士怪:艾丽丝烧伤后,"她极度的恐惧渐渐转变为巨大的怨恨."(引用电影中的一段话)所以她烧伤后对所有的一切都充满了敌意,而此时可怜的护士是离她最近的人,所以护士的形象也自然而然的出现为可怖的形态(也就是怪物)...具体可以参考电影中LISA(那个红衣护士)"白眼"成因~
圣甲虫:这个嘛...不太好说,不过我觉得应该是艾丽丝烧伤后在不能动弹的情况下,被某种甲虫所咬伤,所以也被物质化(依附寂静岭或者说是黑暗体的力量把某种意念中或潜意识中的东西具体化,成为可见体)了~

有的人提问:为什么艾丽丝的黑暗力量(里世界)波及不到教堂内呢?
这个问题嘛~我自己也想了一段时间~如果游戏中这么问还好回答些,因为其中的大部分疑问已得到解答(有SH3的功劳)~而在宗教这方面,电影已经把游戏中的原本改得面目全非了,所以只能从新推理~
(本推理纯属个人推理,如有雷同实属→抄袭)
(1)屋外就是里世界,而屋内却一点也不受影响,而且在教主(不是里教主...)的带领下进行祈祷后就恢复了表世界,可能这种邪教确实有某种力量在保护着(个人觉得这种可能不太大)~(2)根据信仰的力量(并非专指这种邪教)一说,与寂静岭心魔论~因为众信徒虔诚地坚贞地信任着这种邪教的力量能够保护他们,而且这种信仰的中心点就在教堂内,所以坚定的信仰动摇了里世界的力量,而虔诚的祷告便暂时性的驱逐了里世界~...这种观点的可能性比较大,也很符合游戏中的观点~(3)因为电影中表里世界都是艾丽丝所创造的~所以教堂这个僻护点艾丽丝也应该是可以控制的(就类似于她可以控制里世界不伤害达琳一样),而一次性把这些仇人杀掉的话,艾丽丝还觉得有点不爽(BT了=.=...).所以搞出这么个地方来慢慢玩弄这些人,让他们天天陷入死亡的巨大恐惧中,让他们身心具疲,心理崩溃(不过因为有信仰,才没有太快崩溃)...这样会让艾丽丝得到更大的"满足"~
几次分析中,惟有这次的个人观点比较浓重,所以错误可能存在,若有意见,敬请提出~~有三个可能也是因为这个问题上面还未定性,不过定性后也不会超出这个范围的吧?~呵呵!
【5号补充】邪教教主--克雷丝
这个人物嘛~个人觉得没什么好说的,因为这是电影改编后新加上的.所以就完全没有游戏中那个教主达丽娜(艾丽丝的母亲)那么神秘,拥有强大的力量(游戏中表世界是教主制造的,里世界才是艾丽丝创造用来躲避母亲)~所以这么说来,电影把宗教这方面就不止是"一笔带过"了..而是大幅度削弱了~由主动转变为被动了~
而这个教主本人呢,可以这么说吧~是一点能力也没有滴,他只能像我们国内滴一位著名邪教教主李某人(简称李教主~...=.=?里教主?...)一样,搞些神神秘秘的东西来迷惑众人....根据我4号补充"宗教力量的"第(2)种说法,她的所有能力也就是聚拢人心罢了~并无真正实力...
正像露丝大声对克雷丝说的那样:"你只是把所有你所害怕的人都烧死而已."

尽管《寂静岭》获得了巨大的成功，但是仍有对其批评的声音。例如就有新闻认为《寂静岭》是一部“恶评如潮”但却票房高的影片（听起来怎么像在评价某些中国“大片”？），还有影评人称“看不懂”《寂静岭》，更有人想象力颇为丰富地将《寂静岭》与《无极》相比并认为其是一路货色。其实在文化全球化和后现代的今天，出现让每个人都拍手叫好的电影几乎是不可能的，何况还有那么多别有用心哗众取宠的人和不明就里盲从潮流的大众。《生化危机》和《古墓丽影》仅就电影本身来说，我个人认为并非“烂片”。而之所以它们被大加诛伐，就是因为与原游戏脱节严重，批评它们的人也多以游戏玩家为主。《寂静岭》之所以被玩家看好，就是因为它很真实地还原了同名游戏中推理解谜的特点和血腥、肮脏、恐怖、压抑的环境气氛。何况无论是电影还是游戏，《寂静岭》都绝对不是一个简单的、为渲染恐怖而生的“鬼域”或“血腥美学”，它是一个充满深刻人文内涵的地方，包括宗教、道德、哲学、性等多种元素和象征、隐喻、暗示等多种手法。因而对于没有玩过《寂静岭》这部系列游戏（截止拍电影时已有四部《寂静岭》游戏，现已出第五部）的人或者对这些不了解的人来说，“看不懂”实属正常。
既然有人说“有一千个观众就有一千个哈姆雷特，所以有一千个观众就有一千个寂静岭”，那么现在就让我们回到寂静岭：
寂静岭的世界观：“三元论”、“二元论”与“二元主义”
看过《寂静岭》的人可能都应该感受到电影中不止存在着一个空间。对于寂静岭究竟有几个空间的问题，普遍存在“已死论”、“二元论”和“三元论”三种观点。持“已死论”（也就是认为寂静岭就是“阴间”，进入寂静岭中的人实际已在片头车祸中死亡）的观众可能是“没看懂”电影或者受到一句被错误翻译的台词字幕——“你们都已经死了”（实际应为“你们都已经被诅咒了”）的误导。“三元论”则是广受支持的一种观点，更有文章用“黄澄澄”、“灰蒙蒙”、“黑漆漆”三个词简明而传神地概括了寂静岭的三个世界。但是我认为，虽然寂静岭存在三个世界，但是“三元论”这个说法却是不准确的。
首先可以区分一下寂静岭的三个世界都是什么：
1.真实世界：就是真实的世界，在这个世界中的寂静岭就是一个被废弃的小镇，即“黄澄澄”的世界，这是由于电影中多数表现真实的白天都采用了一种温暖阳光的色调。
2.“表世界”：即“灰蒙蒙”的世界，就是女主人公罗丝（Rose）在车祸醒来后发现自己身处的世界，仿佛冬天的样子，实际上是由恶魔化之后的阿莱莎（Alessa)用邪恶的力量营造的世界，将一切“罪有应得”的人困在了里面。
3.“里世界”：即“黑漆漆”的世界，就是表世界响过警报之后不定期转化后的世界，一派血腥、肮脏的景象并有各种怪物出没，实际是阿莱莎内心痛苦和压抑的反映并由其邪恶的力量和仇恨的情绪控制。表世界和里世界都是从《寂静岭》游戏中借鉴来的概念。
存在三个世界这一点似乎没有问题了。但经过分析之后，我们会发现，如果从“次元对立”的角度看，那么只有两个对立的空间。在这之前，要看一个概念：二元主义。
“二元主义”（Dualism)在哲学中作为一种思想通常指承认两种根本的，不可再分且互异的元素，它们彼此冲突或者相互补充，又分为将这两种基本要素应用于认识活动中的“认识论意义上的二元主义”和用于解释一切广义上的客观现象的“形而上学意义上的二元主义”。“二元主义”本身也是西方历史文化自我否定式的发展规律自近代以来的产物，是对中世纪基督教唯灵主义的否定。
寂静岭的世界本身就存在表里世界的二元对立，这样以来加上真实世界，似乎“三元论”是成立了。但是对立的表里世界二者却不能同时与真实世界构成对立。因为寂静岭的世界要么是表世界要么是里世界，二者相互转化不能并存，所以导致要么是真实世界与表世界共同存在且对立，要么是真实世界与里世界共同存在且对立，无法存在真实世界、表世界、里世界同时存在并且对立的情况。需要说明的是，在里世界中的教堂只是由于信仰的原因使怪物无法进入而已，它并不具备表世界的特征，因而不是表世界，只能算表世界中的一个特殊地点；而阿莱莎所在医院的地下室也只是表世界里的一个特殊地点而已，还不能因为医院地下室有怪物和黑漆一片就认为那是表世界，因为表世界也有怪物，而地下室没有光自然是一片黑；而游戏《寂静岭》中表里世界的创造、形成原因与电影中不同，也不能作为解释电影《寂静岭》的依据。所以可以得出结论，寂静岭确实存在三个世界，但是从“对立”的角度看，只有二元对立。因而《寂静岭》中的世界观是存在三个世界的“二元论”，或者也可以认为实际只存在两个世界：真实的世界和变化着的寂静岭的世界。作为西方带有宗教题材的恐怖片，《寂静岭》也没有脱离二元主义的规律。
其实片中的这种二元对立在电影一开始就已经暗示了，那就是罗丝的女儿莎仁（Sharon)梦游时险些摔下悬崖的镜头，构成了上下的对立，水上和水下的对立，真实世界与虚幻世界的对立，善良的莎仁与阿莱莎的邪恶面的对立，甚至原来是水下世界却存在幻境中的烈火这样水与火的对立。当阿莱莎的邪恶面从悬崖上高速下坠的镜头出现时，我承认确实被吓到了，虽然据说这个停留的镜头只持续了0.7秒，但是那恐怖的笑容着实让人一震，真很难想象到可爱的阿莱莎的形象与这个恐怖的邪恶的阿莱莎是同一个小演员出演的！实在不得不佩服她的演技！

Notably, Alessa's rescue is performed by Officer Gucci (whose burns are revealed to have been caused by grabbing the still hot iron cage in an effort to open it).Rose is also told that Sharon is a manifestation of Alessa's remaining innocence and goodness, sent away to the orphanage, where she was subsequently adopted by Rose and Christopher. After the flashback, Rose is told that she must aid Alessa in her revenge by granting her entry to the church (which she cannot enter e to the 'blind faith' within it): she is also told that Christabella will soon find Sharon and attempt to burn her as well. Rose agrees to help Alessa get her revenge.Rose re-enters the church soon after Cybil is burned to death by the townspeople, and Sharon is about to suffer a similar fate. She confronts the townspeople and Christabella with what she knows, attempting to convince the cult that they are in denial of their own fate. Angered at what she believes to be heresy, Christabella stabs Rose. Rose's blood drips onto the church floor, opening the way for Alessa. The alt Alessa and her doppelganger rise out of the pit, and proceed to kill Christabella and the townspeople with huge tangles of barbed wire, leaving Dahlia the sole inhabitant of Silent Hill. As the carnage ensues, Rose rescues Sharon and protects her. Sharon looks up to see Alessa's dark double looking down on her. Before Rose and Sharon leave, Dahlia asks why Alessa did not kill her, too. Rose replies with the words that Cybil had told her in the church: "Mother is God in the eyes of a child". Rose and Sharon leave Silent Hill and return home. Nevertheless, although Rose and Sharon are in the same room as Christopher, they cannot see each other and this is because of general agreement that Rose, Sharon and Cybil died in the Car/Motorcycle accident at the start of the film, prior to their entrance of Silent Hill. This is much like the first Silent Hill game where one of the endings shows the protagonist Harry Mason dead, in the car he crashed prior to entering Silent Hill. In my opinion, Silent Hill is the first game-to-movie that is actually good. Not mediocre (like Resident Evil), not barely decent (like Tomb Raider), but a really good one. While not especially "scary", it keeps the dark atmosphere of the games, with all the psychological and emotional aspects.
Changes to the original plot are noticeable, but the new story behind the town and what happened to it is as good (or maybe even better) as the one told in the first game (which the movie is heavily based on). What's important, it still poses some questions, like all the games - touching the subjects of faith, devotion and dedication to family. There's no character that could be unanimously called "evil" e to his or her deeds and motivation - whether driven by faith in a misunderstood cause or the desire of "righteous" revenge, nobody in the movie comes out as saint or as the evil incarnate.
Visually, the movie is true to the original. The CGI effects blatantly stick out in some moments, but I'm still impressed by the quality of "monsters" - played by dancers and gymnasts. Their make-up may fondly remind you of what you saw in the games, but luckily, the "survival horror" moments are rare enough not to tire the viewers with constant barrage of bullets and repeated whacks of metal pipes (only one typical pistol clip worth of bullets is spent ring the whole movie).
Go see it. Or own a DVD. This movie is great even if you didn't play any of the games.
