Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 American animated comedy film. It was directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and proced by Melissa Cobb. The film stars the voices of Jack Black as the panda, Po, along with Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross, and Ian McShane. Set in ancient China, the plot revolves around a bumbling panda who aspires to be a kung fu master. After a much feared warrior escapes from prison, Po is foretold to be the Dragon Warrior, much to the chagrin of the resident kung fu warriors. Dreamworks is working on a sequel to Kung Fu Panda, which is currently in pre-proction.
Although the concept of a "kung fu panda" has been around since at least 1993, the idea for the film was conceived by Michael Lachance, a DreamWorks Animation executive. Work on the film did not begin until 2004. The film was originally intended to be a parody, but director Stevenson decided to instead shoot an action comedy martial arts film that incorporates the hero's journey narrative archetype for the lead character. The computer animation in the film was more complex than anything DreamWorks had done before. As with most DreamWorks animated films, Hans Zimmer scored Kung Fu Panda. Twenty-year-old Will Hunting (Damon) of South Boston is a self-taught, genius-level intellect with an eidetic memory, though he works simply as a janitor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and spends his free time drinking with his friends Chuckie (Affleck), Billy (Cole Hauser) and Morgan (Casey Affleck). When Professor Gerald Lambeau (Skarsgård) posts a difficult problem taken from algebraic graph theory as a challenge for his graate students, Will solves the problem anonymously, stunning both the graate students and Lambeau himself. As a challenge to the unknown genius, Lambeau posts an even more difficult problem and chances upon Will solving it. Fearing he will lose his sole means of (a meager) income, Will flees and skips going into work the next day. That night, Will meets Skylar (Driver), a British orphan about to graate from Harvard, who plans on attending medical school at Stanford.
Assaulting both a man who bullied him as a child and a police officer who attempts to break up the fight, Will faces incarceration, but Lambeau arranges for him to forgo jail time if he agrees to study mathematics under Lambeau's supervision while simultaneously seeking psychotherapy. Will tentatively agrees but treats his first few therapists with contempt; his refusal to open up is met with staunch defiance by the bourgeois mentality of the therapists, who each refuse to treat Will further. In desperation, Lambeau calls on Dr. Sean Maguire (Williams), his estranged—and much more grounded—college roommate, who now teaches psychology at Bunker Hill Community College. Unlike the other therapists, Sean actually challenges Will's weak defense mechanisms, and after a few unproctive sessions Will begins to open up.
Will is particularly struck by Sean's story of how he met his wife by giving up his ticket to the historic sixth game of the 1975 World Series after falling in love at first sight. Sean neither regrets his decision, nor does he regret the final years of his marriage when his wife was dying of cancer. This encourages Will to build a relationship with Skylar, though he lies to her about his past and is reluctant to introce her to his friends or show her his rundown neighborhood. Will also challenges Sean to take an objective look at his own life, since Sean has been unable to move on from his wife's death.
Chafing under Lambeau's high expectations, Will makes a mockery of job interviews that Lambeau arranges for him. When Skylar asks Will to move to California with her, he panics and pushes her away, revealing that he is an orphan and that his foster father physically abused him. Skylar tells Will that she loves him, but he denies loving her and then leaves. He next storms out on Lambeau, dismissing the mathematical research he has been doing. Sean points out that Will is so adept at anticipating future failure in his interpersonal relationships that he deliberately sabotages them in order to avoid emotional pain. When Will refuses to give an honest reply about what he wants to do with his life, Sean shows him the door. Will tells Chuckie he wants to be a laborer for the rest of his life; Chuckie responds that it would be an insult to his friends for Will to waste his potential and that his fondest wish is that Will should leave to pursue something greater.
Will walks in on a heated argument between Sean and Lambeau over his future. Sean and Will share that they were both victims of child abuse. Sean helps Will to see that he is a victim of his own inner demons and to accept that it is not his fault. Will decides to accept one of the job offers arranged by Lambeau. Having helped Will overcome his problems, Sean reconciles with Lambeau and decides to take a sabbatical to travel the world. When Will's friends present him with a rebuilt Chevrolet Nova for his twenty-first birthday, he decides to pass on his job offers and drive to California to reunite with Skylar. Sometime later, Chuckie goes to Will's house to pick him up, only to find that he is not there. I remember the first English movie I have ever seen is Finding Nemo. I moved by this movie and the tear drop fell down from my face after I see it.
“Finding Nemo” tells the story of clownfish Marlin and his only son Nemo. Nemo is a clownfish in Chinese. In the sea, Marlin and Nemo lead a safe and quiet life. Like all the fathers, Marlin tries to protect his son from being hurt. But Nemo eager to explore the reef.
One day, Nemo is captured by a cruel man. Then he put Nemo and many fish to a big tank. The coward father knew it, he go to rescue his son and of course all the animals in Barrier Reef Helped him find his naughty son, Nemo. In doing so, Marlin overcomes his tear and he rescues his son.
I like the bbing of Nemo, is a boy and he is very lovely and I think Nemo is full of naughty. He likes risking very much.
In my opinion, Finding Nemo is similar from The Lion King. They’re all telling us to treasure the love for parents. I like the Finding Nemo in the same way I like his coward father, Marlin AND Naughty Nemo.

2.Alice in wonferland 爱丽丝梦游仙境
The ongoing mania for 3D movies continues in the UK this week with the release of an updated version of the classic British children's novel Alice in Wonderland.
The film is the work of maverick Hollywood director Tim Burton who has carved a niche for himself by "re-imagining" classic films and stories in his trademark Gothic style.
As well as starring Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, the film features a wealth of British talent including Burton's wife Helena Bonham-Carter, while many other British actors supply the voices for the film's CGI characters.
The film sees Alice return to Wonderland ten years later
The film sees 19-year-old Alice return to Wonderland ten years after her original adventures, where she must realise her destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror.
Although the film is a 21st Century, technology-laden, visual feast, it is based on the works of the 19th Century mathematician Lewis Carroll.
Lewis Carroll was actually the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, a lecturer in mathematics at Christ Church College, Oxford.
Carroll is said to have written the book for the entertainment of the children of an Oxford colleague, having made up stories for them ring rowing trips around the Oxford area.
The books are characterised by a sense of absurd fantasy, however, they also reflect Carroll's fascinations as a mathematician and logician, which may explain why they have had such enring appeal for children and alts alike.
It would appear then that 145 years after their original publication Alice's adventures continue to enthral and intrigue, and will doubtless do so for many years to come.
3.Clash of the Titans 诸神之战
The trend of 3D blockbuster movies continues with this week's release of Clash of the Titans, a film which delves into the rich world of Greek mythology.
It tells the story of the hero Perseus as he battles a host of fearsome creatures including giant scorpions, a huge sea monster called the Kraken and the terrifying Mesa with writhing snakes instead of hair.
Perseus is played by Australian actor Sam Worthington, who made his name as the lead in Avatar, and who seems to be enjoying his sudden rise to international fame. Talking about filming Clash of the Titans, he said:
"Some movies you do because they're a hell of a lot of fun. That's what this one was. Me in a skirt with a rubber sword, killing monsters. It ain't that hard. That's a good day at the office."
It's not all swords and fighting
The film also features Irish actor Liam Neeson as Zeus, King of the Gods and father of Perseus, and British actor Ralph Fiennes as Hades, the evil Lord of the Underworld.
This year's film is a remake of a 1981 version of the same name, though the look and feel of the two could not be more different.
The original film made use of stop-motion technology to bring model monsters to life. This painstaking technique animates models by moving them in tiny increments one frame at a time and photographing each frame indivially.
These days of course CGI and 3D technology allow directors to realise even their wildest visual fantasies.
Nonetheless, the film's French director Louis Leterrier and the cast and crew still wanted to pay homage to the original movie.
Actress Alexa Davalos, who plays Perseus' love interest in the film, said:
"There's a tip of the hat to the original throughout. It was a labour of love to the original. We all really want to honour it. I hope we did that."
4.Avater 阿凡达
The blockbuster film Avatar has been a smash hit at the box office in the UK and around the world, becoming the fastest film ever to earn $1bn (7bn yuan) in ticket sales.
But as well as being an entertaining feast for the eyes, the sci-fi epic also introces movie-goers to a brand new language invented especially for the film.
The movie is set on an alien planet called Pandora which is inhabited by many strange species. The most humanoid of the planet's inhabitants are the Na'vi, and it is the struggle between the Na'vi and human interlopers that forms the core narrative of the film.
The film has been released in 2D and 3D versions
In order to add authenticity to his vision of an alien race the film’s director James Cameron asked a professor of linguistics from the University of Southern California to invent a language for the Na'vi.
Professor Paul Frommer worked with James Cameron for four years to build upon the original 30 words or so that the director had already come up with for the language.
According to Professor Frommer, the most important aspect of the Na'vi language was that it could be articulated.
"This is an alien language but obviously it has to be spoken by human actors," Professor Frommer told the BBC, "it has to be sounds that human beings are comfortable procing."
The language currently has a lexicon of around 1000 words but Professor Frommer hopes to expand it in possible sequels to the film and in video games.
The professor hopes that one day his creation will become as sophisticated as the Klingon alien language from the Star Trek films.
"There's a translation of Hamlet into Klingon," says Professor Frommer.
"If anything happened like this with Na'vi I'd be delighted."
