GHOST, in my opinion, is an excellent romance about true love that lasts eternally. When Sam (Patrick Swayze) got mugged, I got really scared. You'll have to see the movie if you want to know why. If you ask me, Maurice Jarre's score is absolutely beautiful. To me, Carl (Tony Goldwyn) was a very creepy guy. Also, Willie (Rick Aviles) was just as scary as he was. I was amazed at the way Sam could step through anything in his ghostly state. All in all, everyone involved in this film did an outstanding job. In conclusion, if you like Patrick Swayze or Demi Moore, this is definitely a movie to see. You will really be touched by it.

Green Power

"Shrek" is fun. People who haven't seen this movie, and are wary of seeing what's popular, should give it a try. It's worth watching, and will probably win you over.

Taking a Fractured Fairy Tale approach to a "Beauty And The Beast"-type plot, throwing in a few mild profanities, flatulence jokes, and Michael Myers' over-the-top faux-Scots accent, "Shrek" shows off a very snarky humor, full of jokes that will likely go over the heads of a cartoon's target audience while registering with their parents. 'Sure it's big enough, but look at the location,' Shrek observes upon seeing a giant castle in the middle of nowhere. The kids, though, will love 'Shrek' every bit as much. It's impossible not to be carried along by its merry madness.

Myers, as the title character, is certainly easier to take than he was in his last Austin Powers movie, his voice work registering real tenderness as well as the expected laughs as a misunderstood ogre who would rather tell a group of frightened villagers about the cruelties he will inflict on them and their dead bodies than cause those villagers any genuine harm. He's a bit of a softie, actually, and scared to let anyone know it.

Cameron Diaz is as beautiful to listen to hear as she is to look at in her other films. Her character, Princess Fiona, doesn't have as much room to shine as Shrek (the balance turns out better in the sequel) but she does well with what she's given.

The comic highpoints in terms of voice characterization is Eddie Murphy as Shrek's donkey companion and John Lithgow as nasty Lord Farquaad, who wants to rid his domain of Duloc of all fairy tale creatures. Murphy never stops being funny even as he helps set up key plot moments; in fact he's never been this funny since the first "Beverly Hills Cop" movie. "We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles," the donkey tells a much put-upon Shrek, and you still laugh the fifth time you hear it. Lithgow just makes you smile whenever he opens his mouth, like when he grills a hapless gingerbread man in such a convoluted way it turns into a nursery-rhyme recitation.

Why exactly Farquaad is grilling this gingerbread man so closely isn't clear, and there are similar plot holes throughout the movie. Shrek may be too tame a character; we never really feel any worry around him. The donkey falls into a relationship with a dragon that screams "plot convenience," and there are strange little bits of cruelty, like turning a frog and snake into balloons, which just is thrown out there and let be.

But the central story, about how Shrek and Fiona struggle to overcome the odds and find true love, is really sweet and well-rendered. The animation is spectacular, a revolution for the eyes in its deep-dish panoramas and remarkable attention to textures. And the jokes keep flying, the major ones as well as hilarious bits of filigree you won't notice the first or second time but reward you for paying attention.

This is not a Disney movie, something "Shrek" makes very clear not only with its PG-13 humor but its knocks at Disney characters like Snow White and at the Magic Kingdom in the form of Duloc, where an array of "It's A Small World"-type dolls lecture Shrek and Donkey on all the things NOT to do. Frankly, "Shrek" could use a little injection of Disney heart, but Disney could use some of this picture's freshness as well. A very charming movie worth your time.

The Legend of 1900 is an interesting fable from legendary Italian filmmaker Guiseppe Tornatore, maker of Cinema Paradiso and The Star Maker. Based on a monologue by Alessandro Baricco, The Legend of 1900 tells the story of a unique man who never set foot upon dry land. On January 1, 1900, a small baby boy was found abandoned on the Virginian, a transatlantic ship. The crewman who found him names the boy Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon 1900; 1900 for short. 1900 is a true orphan. He knows nothing about his parents or his past. The Virginian is the only thing he knows.

The story unfolds as a series of flashbacks told by a man named Max (Pruitt Taylor Vance, Nobody's Fool, Mumford). In a series of events that seem awkward to the viewer, Max tells various people he meets about his experiences aboard the Virginian with 1900 (Tim Roth, No Way Home, Gridlock'd). The transitions are clunky, causing the story to frequently halt for further exposition before continuing. At a young age, 1900 became a piano prodigy. He entranced people with his ability to play the piano, and mbfounded people with his refusal to leave the ship. 1900 helped Max ease his transition onto the ocean, and the two became friends, playing together in the band. Max details 1900's experiences with love (in a very Titanic-like meeting), and his encounter with Jelly Roll Morton (Clarence Williams III, The General's Daughter, Reindeer Games). Morton is irrationally jealous of 1900 and challenges him to a piano el to determine the better player. Williams glowers through his role, which is interesting but one-dimensional.

Roth plays 1900 as an enigma. He shows emotion only when he is playing the piano. Vance's character is much more annoying. His only purpose is the narrator. Tornatore gives no reason as to why the two become friends, or remain friends for such a long time. 1900 is well liked by the crew, so why is Max the person 1900 confides in the most? The music of The Legend of 1900 was composed by another legend, Ennio Morricone. Morricone composed more than 400 scores over his career, garnering numerous nominations in the process. Morricone's music permeates the movie, rising and falling with the moods of the characters. The proction on The Legend of 1900 is gorgeous. The special effects are great, but here it is a good thing. Long shots of the Virginian do not look quite real, instead it looks almost magical. This is Tornatore's first English film, and although it isn't outstanding, it is a nice effort.

Jane Eyre — A Beautiful Soul
Jane Eyre, is a poor but aspiring, small in body but huge in soul, obscure but self-respecting girl. After we close the covers of the book, after having a long journey of the spirit, Jane Eyre, a marvelous figure, has left us so much to recall and to think:
We remember her goodness: for someone who lost arms and blinded in eyes, for someone who despised her for her ordinariness, and even for someone who had hurt her deeply in the past.
We remember her pursuit of justice. It’s like a companion with the goodness. But still, a virtuous person should promote the goodness on one side and must check the badness on the other side.
We remember her self-respect and the clear situation on equality. In her opinion, everyone is the same at the God’s feet. Though there are differences in status、in property and also in appearance, but all the human being are equal in personality.
We also remember her striving for life, her toughness and her confidence…
When we think of this girl, what she gave us was not a pretty face or a transcendent temperament that make us admire deeply, but a huge charm of her personality.

Actually, she wasn’t pretty, and of course, the ordinary appearance didn’t make others feel good of her, even her own aunt felt disgusted with it. For a long time, only a person’s GREat virtue, a noble soul, a beautiful heart can be called as AN EVERLASTING BEAUTY, just as Kahill Gibran has said, that ‘Beauty is a heart enflamed and a soul enchanted’. I can feel that how beauty really is, as we are all fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but fleshly men, so we can’t distinguish whether a man is of nobleness or humbleness, but as there are great differences in our souls, and from that, we can know that whether a man is noble or ordinary, and even obscure, that is, whether he is beautiful or not.

The message is very positive. Disney makes use of the impression the public has of lions to show that even someone that seems to be really strong can be weak sometimes. No matter what comes , you should face it and deal with it instead of running away.
And I have concluded 3 sentences from the message the movie conveys after watching it for 3 times :the first one is "Blood is thicker than water" ;and the second "A friend in need is a friend indeed" ;third one also the last one "you need to have the spirit of looking back bravely and forward hopefully"
This is one of the best Disney's animations and I'm sure both alt and children will enjoy the story and music and won't get bored even if you watch it for a few times.

㈩ 《狮子王》英文赏析

随着狒狒巫师拉飞奇一声呐喊，引出了开场曲目
《生生不息》（《CircleOfLife》），熟悉的
音乐一下子带领我回到了近十年前，那个时候这部
经典的动画片吸引住了多少儿童的心。长颈鹿、斑
马、豹子等各种飞禽走兽营造了一个广阔草原上的
动物世界，而大象、犀牛更是缓缓从观众席中走上
舞台，场内顿时掌声雷动。
熟悉的狒狒巫师拉飞奇改为了黑人女性扮
演，但是她嘹亮的嗓音完全胜任了这个非洲草原巫
师的角色。各种动物也都由人来掌控，但是形态动
作却完全酷似动物本身的行为，实在是赞叹这些演
员功力之深厚。多嘴的马屁精犀鸟沙祖和活泼可爱
的小狮子辛巴常常引来观众的阵阵笑声，小辛巴和
小娜娜骑在鸵鸟上合唱的《等我长大来当王》
（《IJustCan'tWaitToBeKing》）显示了
小狮子的活泼天真可爱。威严的狮子王木法沙有着
低沉而富有威严的嗓音。反面角色刀疤的声音是我
极为喜欢的，类似《悲惨世界》里沙威警官的富有
张力的声音演绎出了刀疤的邪恶内心，三只土狼更
是搞笑。当刀疤唱起那耳熟能详象征邪恶势力的
《快准备》（《BePrepared》）又引起我内心一
阵激动。还有那最最熟悉的《哈库纳马塔塔》
（《HakunaMatata》），听到和电影里几乎一模
一样的丁满和彭彭的搞笑声音，心情顿时也随之欢
快了起来。可惜的是我期待了半天的成年辛巴，一
直觉得辛巴的嗓音应该更嘹亮更富有戏剧性，就算
不能赛过MichaelBall起码也应该和JoshGroban
这样的嗓音并驾齐驱。但是辛巴稚嫩的嗓音却一直
让我觉得是流行乐歌手在唱音乐剧。他和娜娜一同
唱响的经典爱情之歌《今夜感觉我的爱》（《Can
YouFeelTheLoveTonight》）也失去了很多
浪漫的韵味和澎湃的激情，而且歌词和Elton
John所写的原歌也有所不同，没有达到我预想的
效果，失望了很多。不过此时的场景和空中、台上
的一对对舞者却为此歌的浪漫气氛增色不少，如果
此时是情侣一起观看，肯定心中甜蜜无限。虽
然觉得大剧院的场地还不够大，如果场地再大点的
话可以有更多演员参与，场面肯定更加震撼壮观，
而且今天的长笛在独奏的时候几次吹破，高音不
准，也顿时令原本很有气氛的音乐剧有了几次瑕
疵。不过还不至于影响整体效果。
这次《狮子王》的场景设置和道具制作，还
有舞美等方面的确超越了《剧院魅影》很多。由于
《狮子王》原本是一部动画片，所以就需要场景不
停的变化以符合原本动画片中出现的情景，这在一
个小小的舞台上是很难实现的。几次我难以想象下
一个场景剧组会怎样表现的时候，出现的结果往往
是出乎我的意料，令我折服。比如，狮子王木法沙
被数以百计如洪水般奔涌的角马群所追赶的场景；
成年辛巴在水池边看到风云翻滚的星空中出现已过
世的木法沙的影像；都令我怀疑他们能不能造就重
现动画片中的情景和画面。但是剧组巧妙的手法和
美轮美奂的场景道具都令我叹为观止。
更有意思的是，百老汇的剧组人员在来到
中国之后，果然加进了很多我们中国当地的元素，
令观众都能会心一笑。比如拉飞奇在说了一堆非洲
土语之后回头用中文问观众：你们明白吗？；犀鸟
沙祖在舞台上降下一块很大的花色幕布之后说道：
这个不是从襄阳市场买来的浴帘吗？；沙祖在被刀
疤关在鸟笼里，刀疤要他唱歌取乐的时候，他用中
文唱起了《老鼠爱大米》（很奇怪，为什么我认识
的好几个老外都会用中文唱这首歌？？？）
还有一个很奇妙的部分。所有狮子和王室成
员、部下说的都是英英；而辛巴的好朋友疣猪彭彭
和猫鼬丁满说的是一口普通的美音，土狼说的却是
美国街头黑人的英文。难道这些我们生活中的语言
差别也暗示着动物世界的等级差别？呵呵，反正是
很有意味的一个设计。

狮子王的赏析二
很小的时候看过《狮子王》，那个时候，喜欢辛巴，因为它的活泼，可爱，因为它的勇敢，因为它实在是很调皮，因为辛巴有太多属于它自己的个性，羡慕辛巴生长在那样一片美丽的大草原上，童年的时候，大都是喜欢辛巴的吧。
长大了，开始看电影版的《狮子王》，此时的感受，已不同于小时候，虽然还是很喜欢辛巴，虽然还是很羡慕辛巴的生长环境，这个时候，已经从一个更深的更宽广的意义上看待这部动画片。
看到辛巴出生的时候，心里充满了喜悦，一个生命诞生了，生命是一件多莫不可思议的事，伴随着画面上辛巴的父母的喜悦，所有狮子王国里动物的喜悦，我的心里也充满了感动得喜悦，所有的人，都该为这一刻欢呼吧。
辛巴渐渐长大了，小时候的感受渐渐在脑中清晰起来，辛巴总是那样调皮，会惹出那末多的麻烦，这个时候，是它的父亲用爱和生命拯救了它，真的很不愿意回忆木法沙惨死的画面，在那一刻，所有木法沙对辛巴的教育，指导，所有的一个父亲应该对子女所做的一切，所有它付出的爱和努力，都在脑海中浮现，这个时候，我的印象开始发生转变，我突然发现了父爱的伟大，我崇拜木法沙，虽然还是很喜欢辛巴，但此时的自己，已经深深体会了木法沙对辛巴的爱，当自己为这份爱感动的一塌糊涂，也更加明白了自己的父母对自己的爱。当为一份爱付出生命，是一件多莫伟大多莫了不起的事情，这样的木法沙，拥有足够的资格来承担世人对它的尊敬和崇拜。
没有了父亲，自己的王国被侵占，自己被赶出来，无法回到自己的亲人身边，而自己的亲人也以为辛巴已经不在世界上，这是何其残酷的事实，辛巴的经历，真得让人感到一种无奈的辛酸。或许，辛巴曾经颓废，曾经想不再回到自己的家乡，曾经想就这样无忧无虑的跟着蓬蓬和丁满过开心的日子，但是它毕竟是木法沙的儿子，木法沙所具有的高尚品质，完全可以体现在辛巴身上体现出来，他还是勇敢的打败了刀疤，成为了狮子王，继承了木法沙。这样的辛巴，也有足够的资格成为这片大草原上新的国王。
《狮子王》第二部，主要讲述了辛巴女儿的故事，她跟辛巴小的时候一样调皮，一样可爱，辛巴像木法沙教育他一样，悉心教育着自己的女儿，那是生命体的传承，是爱和责任的传承，所有发生在这个大草原上的故事，无一不体现着生命，爱和责任，动物如此，人类，不更应该是这样的吗？
我个人更喜欢第一部，也许，是因为太喜欢木法沙了吧，那个草原上的霸者，充满了勇气和睿智的霸者。
每一个看过这部动画片的人，都应该更加明白父母对自己的爱，就像木法沙和辛巴，就像辛巴和它的女儿琪拉雅，虽然会因为代沟争吵，虽然有时候会不理解对方，但那份爱，不会因为这些而少一分的，我想这是我看过这部动画片之后最大的感受吧。
