‍‍私以为，在翻译美学领域无人可与老爷子许渊冲媲美。接触到其古诗词英译版不少，但私心最喜欢的仍旧是在翻译启蒙初期看到的两句古文，源语出自《诗经· 小雅. 采薇》昔我往矣，杨柳依依。今我来思，雨雪霏霏。When I left here,Willows shed tear。I come back now,Snow bends the bough。初见之时欣喜若狂，从未见如此传神之译法。“Willows shed tears”运用了拟人化的修辞手法，生动地将杨柳依依不舍之情表达出来。“Snow bends the bough” 意指大雪之重压弯了树干，也堪称一绝。从老爷子这里开始，我才真正领悟到翻译的美之所在。‍‍

理论的话，现在比较统一的是目的论（Skopos Theory 或 Skopstheorie）。目的论主要包含四个基本规则The Skopos rule， The Coherence rule， The Fidelity rule， 以及The Loyalty principle。 结合电影片名的英译来讲，就是将电影固有英文片名以及电影内容相结合来进行翻译，也可以看作是直译和意译的结合。其中主要运用的翻译方式是归化和异化，英文就是Domestication and foreignization。
最后补充一点，毕竟理论是通过实践总结出来的，所以也不好说现在片名的翻译有什么通用理论，只能说根据翻译成品，翻译过程等等来讲，大部分片名翻译与某个理论相符合。
