The hero of the film is a childlike man, called Tristan, who lives in the reality. He crosses the wall to look for his mother, who is in the magic world, using a special candle. On the way he meets with a girl, called Yvaine, who changes from the fallen star. Tristan feels like expressing his love to a girl. So he catches Yvaine and plans to take her back. At the same time, there is a group of witches wanting to find Yvaine and eating her for living forever. So they have an intense struggle. Further the princes, who are searching for a jewel, are also drawn into this war. This leads them to being killed by the witches unfortunately. But it is well known that evil cannot vanquish good. Finally Tristan and Yvaine overcome all the difficulties and Tristan becomes the king of the magic world. Of course, they fall in love with each other deeply. The film has a wonderful end.

It is obvious that this film can satisfy our eyes and heart, no matter its scenes or the structure of the story. But it is not the whole reason that I like it. Besides that, I also learn many things from it. We can say that the story is caused by Tristan』s young love. After seeing it, I believe it is not necessary that something you are wanting now is that you want truly. So don』t be blind in heart. It is the first notice. The second notice benefits from the words said by Tristan. He says it is important who you live with but not live forever. I totally agree with it. Also the story tells us how Tristan changes himself from a boy to a truly man. From this we can understand the meaning that it is not until someone experiences wind and rain that he can see the rainbow. The other things benefit from the result. Tristan and Yvaine get married finally. This tells us a good person has a good returning and the adversity can see the true feelings.

I watched this movie when it first came out thirty years ago. The music is wonderful. Just what you would expect. The take on the story is a little different but not so different as to disappoint diehard Cinderella fans. There is more of a back story to the Prince and a new dilemma keeping him and Cinderella apart. The stepmother and stepsisters are divine. They nailed the parts. The fairy godmother is a riot and probably my favorite character in this movie. The incidental love story of the prince's companion-at-arms and a lady-in-waiting is very charming. I have always loved fairy tales and I was not disappointed in the retelling of one of the world's favorites.

They gave up the freedom of thinking. They forgot their original dream. The demands of the spirit were materialized to a position or some numbers.

A prisoner spent almost all the life in the prison. When he got the parole, which was applied for many years but without reply, he didn』t feel happy, but sad. He wanted to go to the prison again. He wanted to live in the place he knew. In the prison, he was a key who had knowledge and position. But when he went out of the prison, he found he was only an old man without anything. He couldn』t finish his work quickly because his hands had suffered the arthritis. Unfortunately, he even had no power to struggle. As a result, He chose to suicide because it was the only thing he could do by himself.

Red was a superman in the prison. He could find things that weren』t in the prison at all. But when he went out of the prison, he could do nothing. He lived in the fear and felt so lonely. He loved freedom but he couldn』t realize his value. In this film, Red said, 「Hope is a dangerous thing. Drive a man insane. Nothing will take place here. You』d better get used to the idea. These walls here are kinds of funny. At the beginning, you hate them, then you will get used to them. As time passes, you will depend on them. That's institutionalizing.」

In this film, Andy as the symbol of the hope lived in the prison for 20 years. He remained his dream all the time. On one hand, he looked forward to getting freedom. On the other hand, he believed that he was innocent of the murder. The real reason was his profound thought about hope. In his opinion, hope is a good thing, maybe the best thing, and no good things ever die. It makes a strong man save himself, and a great man save another one. According to this idea, the life in prison for 20 years did not made Andy give up the hope, but made him comprehend the meaning of the life. In fact, hope is a mood without ambition but it really exists.

The sky, the sea and the beach compose a romantic picture. When Andy and Red, two weather-beaten friends, saw each other again in the island, all hardship of 20 years made Andy tougher and their friendship get harder as the same.

The appearance of these modern transportations was an important milestone of the instrialization. People thus became very confident on human intellectual capabilities. They believed their power of conquering the nature is inapproachable. While the Titanic is also called 「The Ship of Dreamers」, in this film, when it bearing in with the ocean in the darkness, the mysterious ocean represents the unknown nature and the ship itself represents the advanced material capabilities people owned. In a shot that Mr Bruce explains his design of the Titanic, he said 「the ship possesses huge size, stability, luxury, and strength」, and that」 the supremacy will never be challenged」. In fact, all these words can be thought of the symbols of the Capitalism of that time in many people』s eyes. They thought the Capitalism is just like the Titanic, which should be 「unsinkable」. Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the eponymous adolescent wizard Harry Potter, together with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, his best friends. The central story arc concerns Harry's struggle against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, who killed Harry's parents in his quest to conquer the wizarding world, after which he seeks to subjugate the Muggle (non-magical) world to his rule.

This film was absolutely amazing. I have spent hours re-watching various scenes and noticing all the perfection with which they are acted and directed. It's not the violence or action sequences that make this movie so great (although they are well done...), but rather moments like where Mathilda knocks on Leon's door. It would be so easy to just film the door opening, but instead we see light illuminating Natalie Portman's face, symbolizing something angelic. And the moment has so much more meaning.
I know a lot of people who have seen this film because they are action fans. I'm not. But I'm glad I finally found it, because it's a wonderful film in so many other ways.

Gua Sha is a movie about the differences between American and Chinese culture. Xu datong is a video games designer in St. Louis. When his father visits from China, he performs Gua Sha (a Chinese traditional treatment) on his grandson, which leaves bright red marks on the skin and causes a lawsuit of child abuse. In the court, Datong loses his mind so that finally he loses custody of his son. I think this scene is shocking and thought-provoking to most of the Chinese audiences. But the most impressing scene to me is the ending. Datong wants to see his son in Christmas eve, he has to climb a pipe to the ninth floor which his son lives. I think the pipe is not only a pipe, but also a gap, a deep gap between American and 5000-year Chinese culture. He wants to climb over the gap and he will never succeed, perhaps no Chinese people really could succeed.

It's about assimilation into American culture, and not assimilation in an 」International」 city, like SF or NY or LA or Chicago, but St. Louis, MO (actually shot there). Really great acting, interesting story.
Gua Sha is a treatment in traditional oriental medicine in which a wooden board repeatedly slides across the patient's acupuncture acupressure massage points. It works in similar principles like that of acupuncture acupressure massage. This method would inevitably leave bruise on the skin, and the story
begins here, when the visiting grandpa who does not speak any English used this traditional practice to treat the grandson when both son and daughter-in-law were at work.
Sadly, in US, this is a story that repeats itself many times in the area where many oriental immigrants lives and all of these are e to simple misunderstanding between cultures.Gua Sha: Step-by-Step, by Arya Nielsen.If an acupuncturist is trained in Classical Chinese medicine, they will do this technique in their practice for pain, and for acute or chronic illness.

Tears of the Sun is an intense, emotional movie that relates to
important international issues today. One of the things I liked about
it was that it made me think deeply about how much easier it is to
focus on taking care of the smaller details in life rather than to face
the hard decisions about the bigger picture. Kudos to the screenwriters
for that. Director Antoine Fuqua took us on a breathtaking journey into
the heart of the violent world of his film's characters and kept me on
the edge of my seat with the tension. Performances by the entire cast
were superb, each character's indiviality sharply defined. The
haunting music pulled me in at the beginning and left me feeling
inspired at the end.
