How often have you caught yourself at night flipping through TV stations looking for something worth while to view, only to stop on a channel airing a nature program? Undoubtedly it's happened to us all. There's something alluring about watching animals in the wild. Perhaps it has something to do with making a connection between humanity and the animal kingdom. We'd like to know how we relate or how we differ from the species of the world. In the film `Winged Migration,' we come face to face, literally, with several different species of birds that are migrating north and south around the various continents of the world. You're probably thinking, why on earth would I pay admission to a film to watch a documentary on the migratory patterns of birds? The answer to that question is simple-the cinematography. Never before has a film come so close to the majestic beauty of birds than `Winged Migration.' The filmmakers, over a four-year period, shot the film using special cameras on hang gliders, helicopters and the like to capture the closest live action shots of birds ever. The end result is a breathtaking adventure that is unforgettable. `Winged Migration' opens on a small farm and shows the birth of a small bird, and quickly moves into following a flock of geese as they fly thousands of miles north. Based on the narration of the film, which there is little of, birds migrate for the sole purpose of survival. They migrate in order to find food, lay eggs, escape harsh cold temperatures, that is if they can stand them. Throughout that migration, there are several hard ships that these animals must face. In particular, crossing an ocean. There are few, if any places for birds to land and rest on such a long journey. The film's narration points out that if some can't find a place to rest, like the deck of a boat, then it could mean death for some.
The cinematography presents the grandest view of birds that moviegoers have ever seen-we are right up close and personal with them. We see how the birds eat, how their bodies move both ring flight and on the ground, as well as how they care for their young. Some of the shots are rather magnificent to watch as the cameras are situated either right behind, above or in front of the birds. The cameras catch the absolute grace of their flight and fight for survival in the wild. Beyond the beauty of the birds, we also get some gorgeous shots of world landmarks and nature such as the Eiffel Tower, New York City with a shot of the World Trade Center prior to 9/11, and various other shots of Europe, Africa, and the Antarctic. There are some upsetting scenes in the film as the various species of birds are trapped in some inescapable situations. One scene shows a flock of birds that happen to land near an oil refinery only to have one bird get caught in a pool of oil. The weight of the substance is too much for the bird to manage and it can't go on with the others. Another shot shows a flock of birds flying over the southern part of the North America, only to have a few shot down by hunters. However, there is one scene with a parrot in the jungles of the Amazon that is able to free itself from a cage after being captured and fly away. The end result of `Winged Migration' is a breathtaking adventure that will not be forgotten.

The Bird Song

The birds
Are the keepers of our secret
As they saw us where we lay
In the deepest grass of springtime
In a reckless guilty haze
And they wove a sweet indifference
And it settled on our skin
Til the eyes that I remembered
For the last time drew me in
The birds
Though I wore your glacial patience
To a smudge of bitter st
On the last day you embraced me
With a glistening sapling trust
Did they sing a million blessings
As they watched us slowly part
Do they keep those final kisses
In their tiny racing hearts
∮
What are we gonna do with you
Same tale every time
What are we gonna do with you
Come on inside
Looking back is for the birds
What are we gonna do with you
Same tale every time
What are we gonna do with you
Come on inside
Looking back is for the birds
What are we gonna do with you
Same tale every time
What are we gonna do with you
Come on inside
Looking back is for the birds
What are we gonna do with you
Same tale every time
What are we gonna do with you
Come on inside
Looking back is for
The birds
The birds
Are the keepers of our secret
As they saw us where we lay
In the deepest grass of springtime
In a reckless guilty haze
Did they sing a million blessings
As they watched us slowly part
Do they keep those final kisses
In their tiny racing hearts
What are we gonna do with you
Looking back is for the birds
What are we gonna do with you

Jane Eyre review by Heather
I was hesitant at first, but now I am truly hooked. As I waited patiently for each hour of more Jane, I grew to admire the way the book was handled. Yes, much of Jane's past is missing, but what is there is captivating. Georgie Henley is scarily mature - more than she has a right to be - and her understanding of young Jane's gravity and passion was wonderfully portrayed.
When Ruth Wilson took the scene, I didn't see at first how she was the unearthly Jane I had read. But it became clearer and clearer, and by far she is the most human and understandable Jane yet. Her face speaks volumes as she says nothing. "That face," comments Toby Stephens' Rochester. It is true. Though we see her silent face many times, we have no problem guessing exactly what she is feeling.
At first, I thought Toby was disappointing. I quite liked the sarcasm of William Hurt in the 1996 version, and Mr. Stephens seemed more brash than sarcastic, more flirting than teasing. But it was the chemistry that quite obviously grew between these two characters that has solidified Toby Stephens as Edward Fairfax Rochester for me. For the first time in a movie version, I realized how much the two had become friends first, and then soul mates.
Two other things were handled extraordinarily. The sex and the scary. From dark corridors and floating candles, burning beds, portraits of mad people and blood dripping, Susanna White got her Gothic right. It is almost a ghost story. This suspense keeps the story from being overly lovey-dovey, and shows a real contrast between the white taffeta-covered aristocracy, and the darkly-clad Jane in Rochester's dim study.
As for the X factor, this is not Jane Austen. Women can have conversations with men alone in rooms. Dark-haired, exotic beauties can sece with a look, cheat with a smile and sin the world round. All of it is not afraid to show up in this version. Rochester and Jane's connection, displayed quite innocently and platonic in some versions, blazes with passion in this. The flashbacks in the final hour of series are some of the steamiest and most emotionally charged parts of this proction.
It's heart-warming, passionate, suspenseful, full of beautiful scenery and costuming; all in all, a whole 4 hours of excellent entertainment. Don't miss out.
⑥ "Stricting for the birds,"什麼意思
Strictly for the birds
Strictly for the birds意思是實在叫人討厭。
例句-3:Ten minutes after the film started, Betty whispered, "Honey, this is for the birds." I agreed. So we got up and walked out. Believe me, it was awful - strictly for the birds! 這里的for the birds或者strictly for the birds意思是「糟糕的,」 「實在令人作嘔的。」
⑦ The day broke for the birds were singing.
The
day
broke和the
birds
were
singing。
⑧ what,should,we,do,for,the,birds是什麼意思
what,should,we,do,for,the,birds?
what,should,we,do,for,the,birds?
⑨ 皮克斯的for the birds是什麼意思
