作為一名獸醫看著自己無法幫助小狐狸失島內心也煩躁了起來此時腦中閃過了「安樂死 」這三個字 看著不肯喝牛奶小狐狸失島隨口說道：「對它來說死或許更幸福事」聽到這話太一強烈責備失島做為醫生不應該說那樣話太一想到自己最幸福事情就和媽媽一起因此也認為小狐狸最幸福事情也能夠回到媽媽身邊決定無論如何都要將小狐狸平安無事送回它媽媽身邊

太一熱情也感動了原本已放棄希望失島失島告訴太一：「如果小狐狸長大了話或許就能有足夠體力接受手術而恢復視覺和聽覺」為了讓小狐狸喝牛奶太一用盡了各種方法結果起初說什麼也不肯喝牛奶小狐狸最後彷彿好象也被太一熱情感化了一樣終於開口喝起了牛奶不但如此小狐狸還開始吃太一喂給它肉或許對小狐狸「海淪」來說太一就溫柔照顧自己「媽媽」或「朋友」 這樣過了幾天後小狐狸體重也增加了一些失島說服自己恩師上原教授讓小狐狸接受更精密檢查但小狐狸健康狀況越越差。

後來太一去上原教授得學校，正好看見小狐狸被當作試驗品，教授用她做標本跟同學介紹這種聾啞病，太一很難過，這時小狐狸發出了求救得呼喚，教授和所有人都震驚了。太一把她帶回家，度過最後得日子
