『捌』 反乌托邦的三部代表作其中两部《1984》及《美丽新世界》分别那个译本好附带加上《动物庄园》吧。

1984你提到的两个译本我都读过了,感觉差不多。很有意思的是,刘的译本比董的多了四万字。(结合一下董本翻译的年代和刘绍明是台湾学者这两点YY一下)。
找了个节选对比:

刘绍铭的翻译:四月中明朗清冷的一天。钟楼报时十三响。风势猛烈,温斯顿·史密斯低着头,下巴贴到胸前,不想冷风扑面。他以最快的速度闪进胜利大楼的玻璃门,可是狂风卷起的尘沙还是跟着他进来了。

另外还有三联出版的孙仲旭译的,没读过,据说中规中矩,忠于原著。但是带英文原版。

刘版和1Q84都是新经典公司策划的,封面装帧甚至模仿了1Q84个人很不喜欢这点。董版不止一种,常见的是译文名著文库的。比较简约,装帧(不考虑模仿1Q84的话)纸张字体大小都不及刘版,但便宜不少。

动物庄园一本比较多感觉大同小异,荣本(和1984董本一系列)辞藻很华丽,隗静秋 译本比较朴实,三联有中英文版(和1984孙译是一个系列的)这两个版本装帧纸质都不能说上乘,但都说得过去。另外还有一个傅惟慈译本不得不提,十月文艺出了一版,各方面都堪称上乘,译文更是经典中的经典。

《美丽新世界》没读过,网络+豆瓣了一下。
整理如下:1.重庆出版社王波译在省图看了这本书,翻译尚可,就是封面弄的有些恶俗。王蒙的序简直就是和谐产物,很让人恶心。第一遍看感觉翻译不好,第二遍看的时候就觉得还不错。
2.漓江版 顾惟赐译,印刷质量很差,错误百出,普遍反映像盗版,别考虑了。
3.花城版李黎译,译者是台湾的一位女学生(大约翻译时候还在校读博士什么的)译得非常不错
4孙法理译的华丽的新世界。翻译很棒。

研究物质的科学在某些方面的应用破坏生命,或者让生命难以忍受地复杂和痛楚起来。

这场真正革命性的革命不应该在外部世界进行,而应该在人类灵魂和肉体上进行。

我们可能期望一个不算真正和平,但毁灭性受到限制的有限战争年代。

在原子能得到控制之前,全世界的政府都极有可能多少出现整体集权主义化的情况。

一个真正有效率的集权主义国家应该是大权在握的政治大亨和他们的经理大军控制着整个奴隶人口;而对奴隶不用威胁,因为奴隶喜欢奴役。培养他们喜欢奴役是现在的集权国家分配给宣传部门,报纸编辑和教师们的任务。
