其實傑克一直在努力地嘗試著融入到完全陌生的新環境中，他還跟隨著輕浮的同班同學巴扎·米勒一起去參加了派對……可惜的是，生性好強的傑克在派對上不幸地和一個有名的惡棍賴安·麥卡錫起了沖突，不但被打敗了，還受到了羞恥。這個時候，傑克的另一個同學找到了他，向他介紹了有關MMA的相關知識--這位同學看到傑克身上擁有著良好的格鬥素質，所以決定將他引薦給MMA導師吉恩·羅卡。
傑克很快就意識到，MMA雖然並非那種通常情況下的街頭格鬥術，卻正對自己的口味。然而想要得到吉恩的親自指導，傑克就得自己去體會忍耐力、紀律性以及積極性對格鬥術究竟起到了什麼樣的重要作用。對於傑克來說，學習MMA是因為這里還有比取得單純的勝利更重要的事情，他最終會尋找到自己心中真正嚮往的未來。

其實裡面的MMA比較扯蛋。很多場面太假。不過音樂倒是很好

故事還行，說是動作片，感覺更像青春愛情片，而且還挺俗套。不過綜合格鬥還算有點看頭，可惜看慣了甄子丹再看這倆打鬥就感覺小兒科了。我更喜歡反面人物R，個性比較鮮明，男主角演技真一般，與金發美女的感情戲實在看著乏味，還不如動動拳頭。尤其在超市對教練訴說對父親的心結，這場合抒情也太不靠譜
