初演喜剧的王杰获导演马伟豪极力推崇，觉得他在《这个夏天有异性》中演的小男人与以往角色截然不同，而第一次与Twins合作的王杰，虽然在片中占戏甚重，但却自称只是客串性质，王杰说：「我一都唔介意客串，一来我未试过做喜剧，二来Twins系同公司 小妹妹，帮 手有乜所谓呀！」
虽是拍摄喜剧，但其中一场扮十八铜人的戏分却令王杰辛苦非常，因为要全身搽上金漆十多小时，洗了两天仍未能完全洗掉，王杰说：「最惨系拍街景，全身金油仲要大热天时住件干湿褛，俾 途人当怪物咁望住，都几尴尬 ！」
