《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》創作背景：1920年代，迪斯尼開始拍片的處女作即是一系列真人、卡通合演的《愛麗絲游歷卡通國》，當時只是無聲、黑白的短片而已。

後來迪斯尼拍出有音效卡通、彩色卡通、長篇動畫之後，原本在第二次世界大戰前就已有籌拍本片的計劃，後來因戰爭爆發而計劃停擺，到戰後才終於將這部小說以長篇劇情動畫片呈現給觀眾。
